Tammy Ashraf has an educational background in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, and Mathematics from the State University of New York. She has worked in a technical, research and project management capacity for a variety of STEM fields. Seema Wadhwa is the Assistant Vice President of Sustainability and Wellness of Inova Health System.

Since his appointment by County Executive Rushern L. Baker, III and the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation’s Board to be the President & CEO of the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation, Jim has become Prince George’s County’s premier business advocate and deal maker.

Within one year of his appointment, Jim led his 75 member staff to attract over 30 new companies to Prince George’s County, retain the county’s top 500 large employers and convince them to expand and to create over 5,400 new jobs and has trained and prepared over 71,000 of the county’s residents for new high wage jobs in the county’s private sector. As a result, over 17,000 new jobs have been created during the last 12 months, reducing the county’s unemployment rate from 5.3% to 3.9% and the county’s median household income has increased by nearly $5,000 to a record high of $76,741, which is more than $20,000 more than the nation’s median household income.

His career has taken him from underwriting large real estate projects, City Manager of Takoma Park, Senior Investment Manager Fannie Mae, to his current position as Deputy Mayor responsible for Workforce, acquiring new business for the city, affordable housing and managing a capital budget of over $160 million and counting.

His undergraduate degree is from University of Iowa in Biology and his graduate degree from Harvard

with a Masters of Public Policy, Financial Analysis and Economic Policy.

Gerald L. Gordon, Ph.D., is the president and CEO of the Economic Development Authority in Fairfax County, Virginia, the second-largest suburban office market in the nation after Orange County, Calif. He has been with the FCEDA since late 1983, during which time office space in the county grew from 32 million square feet to more than 116 million, and jobs in the county grew from 243,000 to 600,000.

In 2010, Virginia Business magazine named Dr. Gordon its “Virginia Business Person of the Year.” Since 2013, Virginia Business has tapped Dr. Gordon for its annual “50 Most Influential Virginians” list. In 2015, the International Economic Development Council awarded Dr. Gordon its Jeffrey A. Finkle Organizational Leadership Award.

Dr. Gordon is the author of 12 books on strategic planning and economic development. His next work, "Understanding Community Economic Growth and Decline," will be published this month by Routledge Press.

Arlington has attracted or retained more than 6.5 million square feet of commercial office tenants, created or retained more than 37,700 jobs and helped more than 206 companies identify locations in the county in just over three years. The Way Forward Strategy aims to attract and grow technology firms in areas such as healthcare informatics, education, clean tech, big data and cyber security.

Kathleen McShane is responsible for overseeing Women’s Business Centers throughout the country. These centers offer counseling, training and mentorship to women who want to launch or expand their business. She provides advice, assistance and support to promote, coordinate, and monitor the efforts of the Federal government to establish, preserve, and strengthen women-owned business. She recognizes the economic value that female-owned businesses contribute to the economy.

Prior to joining the SBA, she was CEO and Founder of Ladies Launch Club a company that provided guidance to women who wanted to launch a business.

Microsoft CEO Bill Gates presented McShane with Award of Honor from the National Business and Disability Council. McShane was awarded the Outstanding Woman of the Year Award from the Connecticut Chapter of National Association of Women Business Owners and the CBS News Radio Small Business Award.

She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Boston University

Williams is responsible for leading the development, implementation, management, and evaluation of Fannie Mae’s corporate diversity and inclusion strategy, policies, and programs. She has created initiatives and platforms that encourage courageous conversations in the workplace to address conflicts and barriers to employee authenticity. Williams is committed to bettering the lives of the underserved by providing coaching, counseling and education to increase access for affordable housing.

Among her career accomplishments she was Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for Freddie Mac. Her previous positions include Director – Diversity and Recruiting Strategies, Verizon Business; Director – Workplace Diversity, MCI; and Director – Diversity and Work Life Programs, US Airways Group.
