This life is a journey and in order to keep perspective along the way we need to sometimes take a look at how we're improving, or not.

I understand, appreciate and find value in the old saying, "measure twice, cut one". If we aren't careful though as we become leaders in business, family, teams or service we can forget the cut altogether.

If I ask you who is your friend that no matter what you're going through makes you cry from laughing? Or the friend that is their to carry you through when you are crying?

We all deal with different trials, traumas and troubles in life. Once they happen some people don't know how to speak about them and we internalize our pain. Some people choose to share their pain with others. Neither is guaranteed to not feel discomfort.

A week or so back you asked questions and I'm finally getting to them. Enjoy!

George Floyd was murdered. This has led us to come face to face with our ugly truths in the United States. One of the things that must come out of this tragedy is equality. In order for that to happen though, we have to have leaders who are willing and able to lead us forward. 

These are my words.

I was asked by a mother about whether she should sign paperwork, allowing her son to join the US Marines. While this is not something I believe I'm qualified to answer, I decided to give her an answer to the best of my ability.

If I've learned one thing in life it is that I can learn more than ever imagined by learning from others. James Simpson is one of those men who I am better for knowing. James is a veteran, a wheelchair rugby league player, a positive-minded person, a resilient person, a hard worker and a good man.
