  • #27: How Teams can MEANINGFULLY CONNECT remotely: Use RITUALS!

"We are hardwired to connect with others, it's what gives purpose and meaning to our lives, and without it there is suffering." Brenè Brown

In a remote world it's sometimes tough to make these connections. I find that we're often so much, even ONLY focused on getting things done. Out of breath and screaming: "Next!"

But there are also others. Teams who care about the relationship building deeply. Who function perfectly. Especially in times of stress and uncertainty.

That's why I've made this episode for you. To share the best of I have encountered and created over the last couple of years. 5 rituals that help you connect to your team better.

If you like them, I'd really appreciate it if you could give this podcast a rating. That way, more people get to know about these tools and can benefit from them. Thanks you

  • # 24: How To INNOVATE In Groups: 3 Brainstorming Methods To Get ACTIVE And Have FUN

Do your best ideas pop up into your head while walking in the woods?

While cleaning your house? Or jogging?

    That's no coincidence!

The movement of your body makes your cells move.  Brain and body are connected.(Yep, I know, that's shocking news ;))

Although we often pretend they're not. For example, when sitting behind desks trying to create the next breakthrough.

So why not using this connection to your advantage?

In today's innovation session, I'll give you three methods of innovating in groups by using activity and fun.

Thanks for your time and energy, as always-

    Lots of appreciation,

  • # 23: The 8 GOLDEN RULZ for Successful Brainstorming (Design Thinking)

I'd like to share a little story with you ;)

Once upon a time, there was a young, ambitious employee called Mitch.

And every day, she would go to her office hoping that something would disrupt her extensive desk-sitting-till-she-could-feel-her-bones routine.

    One day it happened.

Mitch got invited to a BRAINSTORMING SESSION. A real one, with colleagues, ideas, and relevance. Mitch got so excited. How many ideas will the team come up with? Will she be able to contribute her passion and creativity?

Fast forward, this session did not go as imagined.

After one hour of discussing 3 ideas that were the last session's outcome. And turning 2 new ones down because "that has been done before."

    She got soooooo frustrated.

"Is this how it's supposed to be? Are brainstormings supposed to feel like a panel with only a third of the team involved?"

Luckily, this is not the end of the story.

Because she's such a smart girl and never gives up. She went online and discovered:

The 8 Golden Rules For Brainstorming.

She rejoiced: "There is a solution!!"

And so this was a happy end: She presented the rules to the team, made sure they made they'd owned it. And ever since, the brainstorming sessions are filled with tons of innovation, joy, and focus. Real teamwork!

Make sure to put them into your toolbox as well.

There are here, as always, for free.

Enjoy your idea processes wherever you are. Until next week my friend!

Are your brainstormings often dull, predictable, even painful?-

Well, I believe funky and EASY tools can make all the difference and help you tremendously with this dilemma.

So, taddaa, today's Innovation Session (CLICK HERE) is kicking off a whole brainstorming series, and it's about five really fun methods to think out of the box and achieve results that are anything but boring and "not again"- type of thing...

Now more than ever is the time to bring your power to the streets! Now, more than ever, people need YOUR expertise, wisdom, and special sauce.

Exactly three years ago, I co-published my first book, a Design Thinking guide for your pocket. I had NO CLUE whatsoever on where to start and how to finish.

Luckily I was naïve and green, and I just went for it.

Looking back, five things made this process doable and most important than that: So much FUN!

Here they are and this is what today's Innovation Session will be all about:

    1. Say yes, figure out how later (0:58 Min)
    2. Have a support system (3:17 Min)
    3. Even if you don't have time, do it (and go to Mallorca;)) (4:00 Min)
    4. Know your ideal customer (5:01 Min)
    5. Have a framework to fill in and ENJOY LIFE (5:39 Min)

I really hope they serve you well. Let me know what your special sauce is and when it's going out there ;) I can't wait!
