This week on The Bureau of Queer Art, we're revisiting our vibrant first summer queer show, "Existimos" from 2021 and "Imposible" for Zona Maco 2021, featuring the mesmerizing works of Queer Mexican painter Fabián Cháirez.

Born on December 13, 1987, in Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Chiapas, Fabián's art has boldly challenged racism, masculinity, and classism in Mexican society. Through his work, he has had seven solo exhibitions and over twenty group shows in Mexico, the USA, and Europe, elevating the voices of racialized people and sexual and gender dissidents.
