He earned his PhD in physics by the age of 24 and has since become one of the most prolific and respected voices in astrophysics, with over a thousand scientific papers covering black holes, the early universe, and the search for extraterrestrial life.Professor Loeb has served as the longest-standing Chair of Harvard’s Astronomy Department, led Harvard’s Black Hole Initiative, and is currently Director of the Institute for Theory and Computation.
