The Colts schedule has not gotten easier.  If they want to get to the playoffs, the Colts are going to have to beat some very good teams!  The Big 10 threw a single IU game over the pay wall, so if you want to watch Indiana play Northern Illinois, it will cost you $10!  Pacers open the preseason tonight - without TV.  Tony La Russa and Dusty Baker will face each other in the ALDS Thursday, and use their combined 149 years of life experience and 58 years as managers to beat each other!

Frank Reich gives down low on new injuries, and explains the 4th & 1 try toward the end of the first half.  Unsure it will make more sense to some given the information shared.  Does Reich know when TY Hilton might return?    Michael Penix is week-to-week, so it's good the Hoosiers are off this week!  Urban Meyer apologizes for the strange blonde grinder!

Colts fans compare Carson Wentz to Andrew Luck, but yesterday he and Jacoby Brissett looked bore a resemblance as the Colts won their first game of the season.  Pacers should not trade for an unhappy 6'10 point forward who can't (and won't) shoot.  Indianapolis is all full up on Philly athletes in need of a second chance!  Hoosier Hysteria brings sweet nostalgia.  IU Football turns back the clock to a dark chapter.

After a rough start, the Colts finally got rolling and earned their first win of the season.  Jacoby Brissett did for the Dolphins what earned him a bus ticket out of Indy with dinks, dunks, and sacks.  Carson Wentz was good enough, and so was Jonathan Taylor.  An injury came at a bad time to a player the Colts would hate to have to replace.

Five starters were ruled out by Frank Reich, but both Carson Wentz and Jonathan Taylor are questionable.  Can they beat the thoroughly mediocre Dolphins led by backup Jacoby Brissett?  Does Indiana have any chance to upset Penn State - again?  Hoosier Hysteria will give fans a meaningless peek at Indiana under Mike Woodson! Mike Woodson told his team in practice they need to compete with urgency, and that should speak to the Colts and football Hoosiers too.  Colts need to run 35 times and make Jacoby Brissett uncomfortable with blitzes and disguised coverages.  Hoosiers likely to have a tough time in Misery Valley.  BTN+ to stream Hoosier Hysteria, but it is going to cost you $10 minimum!

Colts injury report is long, while their opponents is short - for what seems like the 134th week!  But Carson Wentz is go for Sunday! The NCAA makes a hollow and inexpensive gesture to gender equity.  The Ricketts Family has quickly become the worst owners in Chicago sports, and that is not easy!

Carson Wentz is way better this week than last, but a significant number of starters did not practice today or were limited!  Chris Ballard did the absolute right thing by not signing an expensive back-up quarterback.  Indiana Basketball just feels like it is back.  We'll see if that's the case, but they are another 40+ days from a potential loss, so let's enjoy it.  

(BTW - In the podcast, I make a rare error.  Jacob Eason has not spent a single day in his year-plus pro career on the Colts practice squad.)
