Indiana Basketball plays four Big 10 back-markers twice each.  That's eight wins - leaving them 16 away from the magic 24 number!  Colts injury report will be the big news today.  If Wentz, Fisher, Nelson, and Rhodes are full go, there is reason for optimism Sunday against the Seahawks!  Big 12 expanding by four with three AAC members.  Cubs Ian Happ continues rake fest in win against Reds!

Quenton Nelsonn and Xavier Rhodes sat out at practice today.  Will either or both play Sunday.  Carson Wentz was full go, and Eric Fisher was limited.  Indiana Basketball's schedule was released - will they win more or less than 20?  Can this schedule get IU back to the Big Dance?

If the Colts are going to win their first opener since 2013, they need to win five martchups where the Seahawks are stout!  Today's less than fun fact - Seattle is 12-1 in the last 13 games they have played in the Eastern Time Zone.  Good news is that Eric Fisher has not been ruled out!

Fisher activated, but likely not to play.  Antwaun Woods cut to make room.  Russell Wilson and D.K. Metcalf will keep defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus awake all week.  Indiana disorganized right down to the spelling on one of their jerseys in 34-6 loss.  Cubs win seventh straight - now within 10 of the wild card.  Bulls sign former Pacers forward Alize Johnson to two-year deal.

Wentz has not been vaccinated, which puts his availability in question.  Darius Leonard has made the same decision.  Does it make sense as professional - as teammates - to avoid what makes it more likely you will be able to compete?  Indiana is a four-point dog at Iowa.  If the Hoosiers are for real, that is an enticing number, but not the best bet of the day!

If Carson Wentz had spoken about his decision to not be vaccinated as he did today when camp opened, the splash back would have been far less severe.  Darius Leonard revealed he hasn't been vaccinated because he doesn't know enough, which is true because he plays football instead of studying viruses and vaccines!  Indiana Basketball in good shape with recruit Noah Clowney after his visit.  IU Football ranked second most overrated Big 10 program, which is great news for the Hoosiers!

Despite inaccurate headlines to the contrary, Ballard did not threaten "consequences" for unvaccinated players.  If you believe Ballard is confident in Jacob Eason as a backup, you weren't listening yesterday.  Wentz, Kelly, and Pascal eligible to come off COVID list!  Cubs getting hot at the exact wrong time!

The Turk came for some yesterday but not for others.  Today, he will end a few more Colts dreams as Chris Ballard signs players cut by the other 31 teams.  Cam Newton might be one of them.  Several former Colts were cut yesterday - and a couple of former Hoosiers too!
