In an effort to round out that answer, he's interviewing a series of DI men's lacrosse coaches about their process, continuing with Utah coach Drew McMinn.

After playing goalie at Providence, McMinn spent seven years as an assistant at Robert Morris before taking over and serving as head coach for 10 season. Now heading into his fourth year since taking the reins at Utah, McMinn's teams are known for playing a unique style that's heavily dependent on transition. He breaks down how that informs his staff's approach to evaluating, and then dives into the unique elements of recruiting to Salt Lake City, highlighted by an uncommon tuition wrinkle that the university offers.

Given the service academies' ability to begin contacting prospective student-athletes on July 1 (as opposed to Sept. 1, like the rest of his colleagues), Alberici is a natural choice for the first conversation to reignite this series that started last year as he discusses the unique elements of recruiting to West Point.
