Inside Lenz Network

In his return appearance to Shattered Lives Radio, David LaBahn will be talking about gangs and gang prosecution.

The Criminal Resource Manual states: Federal assistance in prosecuting traditionally state-prosecuted crimes is needed in many states where penitentiary sentences result in minimal time served by defendants. This pathetic situation has resulted in an almost total absence of deterrence as a result of criminal sentences. As a consequence, some repeat offenders have no fear of punishment. Gangs exemplify this type of contempt of the criminal system.

Shattered Lives Radio welcomes returning guest Pamela Katz Ressler to discuss a topic that's showing great interest; what personal stories should, or shouldn't, be shared on social media? With the increase of users there has been a trend to use social media platforms as the neighborhood fence to talk with one another about all the happenings of the day, our ups and downs, and, in many cases, our illnesses, tragedies, and diseases.

Pam Ressler's article written for Cognoscenti addresses the issue of writing, blogging, or discussing the very personal aspects of our lives. During the show we will delve into the fact that people are sharing very personal experiences and whether it's always appropriate. Is there often a stigma attached to being so open, or are people finding support within their online communities?

Exclusively on Shattered Lives Radio, Former male madam goes public!

Guest John Pace has agreed to exclusively give Shattered Lives Radio listeners the first, and rare, opportunity to learn about the other side of "the business" and, as a reformed male madam, how he uses his experience to educate others about the pitfalls of trafficking and how to recognize what may be going on in your own suburban backyard.

What is a male madam? Just as the female counterpart, he is the one who procures girls for sale to male buyers, a very lucrative business otherwise known as sex trafficking. Often considered a victimless crime, John Pace will shed light on the many ways those recruited into this business are forever victimized by it, and how we, as a society, set up our males to pay for sex.

John Pace is the author of two upcoming volumes of The Redemption of Mr. Madam. For ordering information visit his website:

GUEST: Dalal Akoury, MD

Statistics show that most modern day crime is either a direct result of addiction, or indirectly a result of mental health and addiction related circumstances. Once incarcerated most inmates are not properly assessed for treatment options.

Shattered Lives Radio will discuss the many forms of addiction with guest, Dalal Akoury, MD of AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center, and an addiction recovery treatment specialist.

The discussion will surround the topic of how one becomes addicted to, not only illegal street drugs and alcohol, but also the rising epidemic of prescription drugs, gained lawfully and written by unscrupulous physicians all across the country to the point where we have become the American Addict!

GUEST: Yulil "Yuli" Alonso Garza

Mothers Against Gangs (MAG) is a coalition born out of the tragic killing of Martin Alberto Garza in the Imperial Valley of California. Yuli's first appearance on Shattered Lives Radio was mere months after the tragic gang killing of her son. She so lovingly described her son, her family, and the close knit community that has helped her through.

The MAG Coalition has been very active in fundraising and awareness in the Imperial Valley and beyond. Creating an atmosphere of harmony for troubled youth and their families, they seek to create a safety net for those kids who may fall through the cracks and become involved in gangs. Throughout the year since losing their son Martin, the Garza family and the entire community have united to develop their mission in Martin's memory.
