  • Crime Wire:Part II Dr. Scott Bonn Discusses the Long Island
Dr. Scott Bonn: Profile of the Long Island Serial Killer: One Killer, Maybe a Seasonal Visitor

One of the high-profile cases making the news is the Long Island Serial Killer. Doc Bonn has been quoted extensively and has written several articles on his blog about his belief that there is most likely only one person responsible for the remains found near Gilgo Beach.

“This guy is meticulous, sadistic and smart. I suspect he’s probably a professional — extremely charming and disarming,” Bonn said. “He’s not going to stop, and the nature of the victims’ lifestyle (the fact that prostitutes often go unreported when they are missing) makes them the ideal prey. For all we know, he may have another dumping ground already.”

Doc Bonn has appeared in several media outlets, newspapers and blogs commenting on the subject that pains and fascinates us all, serial killers. He is researching our nation’s serial killers for an upcoming book tentatively titled “Monster Dearest: Our Fascination with Serial Killers and Why We Need Them.”.

In 1986 their lives were shattered when their vibrant daughter, Kim, was suddenly killed in a car accident. A bright 18 year old, Kim had just graduated from high school in June and was scheduled to enter college in September. On August 5 she went swimming with three other friends at a popular spot about 40 miles from home. On the way home from a day in the sun and fun, the accident happened as they neared the top of a hill. An elderly driver was coming in the opposite direction at a high rate of speed, panicked, and his car slammed into the car that Kim and her friends were riding in, knocking it over an embankment. The driver died at the scene as well as Kim.

  • Crime Wire: Michale Callahan, Too Politically Sensitive
Michale Callahan’s true story is about his fight to search for the truth, no matter where it may lead, to search for the real killers and help free the two innocent men he learned were railroaded into prison.
As the story unfolds it becomes his and every citizen’s worst nightmare when any crime is deemed “too politically sensitive “instead of justice for the victims.
Callahan’s fight continued with his personal battle against a corrupt and powerful state that was more interested in covering up the scandal and silencing its employees than seeking justice. His battle led to the United States Supreme Court, where he continues to fight for his and every American’s First Amendment protection, the freedom of speech.
