The 56th annual BMI Country Awards were held the night before the CMA Awards, and this year's BMI Icon honoree was Hank Williams Jr. BMI holds the reception to honor all the great songwriters and their accomplishments from the past year. Artists gathered to support the songwriters this year include, Toby Keith, Carrie Underwood, Sarah Buxton, Kenny Chesney, Taylor Swift, Jeffrey Steele and Casey Bethard to name a few.

Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott was named Songwriter of the Year at SESAC’s 2008 Nashville Music Awards during ceremonies held at the performing rights organization’s Music Row headquarters. Scott earned the prestigious accolade on the strength of her co-written hits for her group Lady Antebellum (“Love Don’t Live Here”, “Lookin’ For A Good Time”). Scooter Carusoe was also honored for his Song of the Year for his “Better As A Memory” which went on to become a multi-week #1 for superstar Kenny Chesney.Shaw Enuff Songs, the publishing company for Hillary Scott, was named SESAC’s Country Publisher of the Year. But before all this was found out Kelly Lynn was on the Red Carpet for the event.

Rick Huckaby has grown up with a tough work ethic, in the shadows of his father, the legendary NCAA Marshall University Basketball coach . Rick had a hard act to follow. Naturally there was a little resistance from his parents when he decided to drop out of college to pursue his dream of making music, but in looking back, that now seems like a solid carrer move. Conway Twitty was one of America's most successful country artists, although he was mostly known for country, Conway first enjoyed success in Rock n Roll, R&B and Pop Music. We were there for the Nashville premiere at the red carpet to hear from the country artists that knew and played with Conway and also some of todays current artist tell us their views and admirations for him.

Brad Paisley is no stranger to number one parties, as he's had a lot to celebrate in the last ten years or so.
