We've featured this next artist several times on Inside Music Row.  When you're a hot singer songwriter whose career is taking off, it helps to be married to our very own Kelly Lynn.  She talked with hubby Chris Janson about his new single "Better I Don't" at a showcase in downtown Nashville.

John ANderson is perhaps best known for his hit "Swinging," which he originally released in 1983, becoming his second of five number one hits.  He's celebrating the milestone with a new remix of the song, which he recorded with his good buddy Colt Ford.  The track is also featured in the new movie "Super Zeroes," which hit stores this week.  We had a chance to talk with John about the updated "Swinging."

We kick off another Inside Music Row with the mention of Brad Paisley as he is set to release his latest album "Wheelhouse" April ninth.  It's also time to go ahead and start making plans to attend this year's CMA Music Festival as it is just around the corner.  Look for Carrie Underwood, Luke Bryan, Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town to perform at the four-day event.  Patsy Cline is also in the news as the stars are lining up to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the plane crash that took her and the lives of Hawkshaw Hawkins, Cowboy Copas, and pilor Randy Hughes, in 1963.  The three-day "Gone But Not Forgotten" event will be in Camden, Tennessee begiinning February 28th.  Up next is The Band Perry as they will release their sophomore album April second.  "Better Dig Two" is the lead single from that project, which is their fastest-rising song to date.  Also in the news is Blake Shelton as he is planning to hit the road again this summer.  He'll hit up plenty of cities in three months during the "Ten Times Crazier" tour, and he's taking Jana Kramer and Easton Corbin on tour with him.  Finally, we go Inside The Song with Preston Brust to hear about a song he co-wrote with Chris Lucas and Jaren Johnston called "You Gonna Fly" which Keith Urban took all the way to number one.

Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson from Love and Theft haven't slowed down a bit since they hit the top of the charts with "Angel Eyes."  They've recently been nominated for New Vocal Duo or Group from the ACMs, and they're set to hit the road opening up for Tim McGraw.  Now the second single from their self-titled album onRCA is making its way up the charts.  We had a chance to look in behind-the-scenes on the set of their new music video for "Runnin' Out of Air."  Check it out.

We originally caught up with this next group back in October 2010 as they were making a quick swing through Nashville.  The Davisson Brothers Band combines country, southern rock and bluegrass into their own distinctive style, and it's earned them a solid fan base up and down the Eastern United States.  We had a chance to catch up with the guys as they played a show right here in town.  

The multi-talented Hunter Hayes has opened tours for Taylor swift, Rascal Flatts, and Carrie Underwood, and he continues to impress fans with the way he can play almost every single instrument he can find.  He released his debut album in October 2011, with his second single "Wanted" being released almost a year ago.  When that song went number one, he became the youngest solo male act to top the Hot Country Songs chart.  Kelly Lynn caught up with Hunter at a party to celebrate that song's success.

We kick off another Inside Music Row with the mention of Scotty McCreery - Scotty just kicked off his first headlining tour, Weekend Roadtrip Tour, on Valentine's Day in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.  Also in the news is Randy Houser as he just released his first album, "How Country Feels," on his new label Stoney Creek Records.  You can also check out Randy on the road when he joins Miranda Lambert and Dierks Bentley on the "Locked and Reloaded" tour kicking off April `8th in Syracuse, New York.  Kacey Musgraves is up next as she is set to release her debut album "Same Trailer Different Park" on March 19th.  "Merry Go Round" is the lead single off that album, which led to her being named by Esquire magazine as one of their "15 Music Artists to Watch."  We also mention Alan Jackson as he will play a rare Nashville show next month when he takes the stage at the Ryman Auditorium.  The fifth annual "Stars Go Blue" concert will benefit Colon Cancer Alliance's Blue Note Fund.  Up next is Kenny Chesney as he is set to follow up his "Fishbowl" album with a new project to be released April 30th.  He'll kick off his "No Shoes Nation Tour" on March 16th.  Finally, we go Inside The Song with Josh Osborne to hear about a song he co-wrote called "Come Over," which Kenny Chesney took all the way to number one.  

On New Year's Day, the music industry lost a very special person.  We first sat down with the late Patti Page five years ago as she was working on a new project at Curb Records with some of her classic hits, including "Tennessee Walts" and "Doggie In The Window."  We thought it would be quite appropriate to bring this segment back, which originally aired in February of 2008.  Here is Patti Page talking about how she got her start in music and how that changed her life.

Makky Kaylor is getting "A Little Sentimental" with the release of his latest project.  Recorded late last year right here in Nashville, this new album includes a few tracks from Marty Robbins, Eddy Arnold, and Jim Reeves, making this truly a sentimental project.  Makky has recruited some terrific players for the album, and it's one that is quite special to him.  We had a chance to check in with Makky in the studio to hear all about the new project.  Here's Kelly with more.

Transitioning from successful songwriter to new producer can be daunting, to say the least.  However, we all need to spread our wings in order to grow.  Luke Laird is embracing the challenge of moving into the producer's chair with the debut album from Kacey Musgraves.  Luke co-produced this project along with Kacey and Shance McAnally, which is set to be released this Spring.  We had a chance to talk with Luke about that transition, and why it's important to keep challenging yourself.
