We kick off another Inside Music Row with the mention of Brad Paisley as he has teamed up with Dollar General and Pepsi for the "Tune In To Giving" promotion supporting the Dollar General Literacy Foundation. We also mention Little Big Town as they are set to release their fifth studio album "Rornado" September 11th. Time Life is mentioned next as they are set to release another Hank Williams project; "The Lost Concerts Limited Collector's Edition" will go on sale October 2nd. The Academy of Country Music is also mentioned as they are donating 2.5 million dollars to "Working on a Building: Country Music Lives Here," a campaign to help finance the expansion of the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. Finally we go Inside The Song with Chris Janson as he talks about a new song he co-wrote for Tim McGraw "Truck, Yeah."
The Chet Akins Guitar Festival is a great opportunity to see some incredible pickin' talent. We headed out to the festival when we heard about the international duo of Loren and Mark. Their "fingerstyle guitar" playing has earned them countless fans through their tours in Europe and the U.S. We had a chance to talk to them about their internatinoal appeal and find out what made them start performing together.
Georgia's Tyler Hubbard and Florida's Brian Kelly hooked up together at Nashville's Belmont University, where they played local clubs and wrote songs between classes. They've since packed clubs all over the Southeast, and even landed a slot on the 2012 Country Throwdown Tour. Kelly Lynn caught up with the guys at The Woods At Fontanel right after their show.
Kellie Pickler is quite proud of her recent partnership with ConAgra Foods Foundation and Feeding America in their quest to fight child hunger. When one in five children in the most prosperous country in the world often doesn't have enough to eat on a daily basis, something needs to be done. Kellie stepped up to donate her time to help fill bags and boxes at Nashville's Second Harvest Food Bank, and is encouraging others to help spread the word.
We kick off another Inside Music Row with the mention of Taylor Swift as she will be releasing a new fragrance from Elizabeth Arden "Wonderstruck Enchanted." The new fragrance is described as an Oriental Gourmand and will be in stores nationwide in October. Justin Moore is also in the news as he is the very first artist to partner with Cabela's, the world's foremost outfitter of hunting, fishing and outdoor gear. Also, Bucky Covington has teamed up with Shooter Jennings for a new duet called "Drinking Side of Country." Look for the track on Bucky's sophomore album "Good Guys" out September 11th. We also mention the Inspirational Country Music Awards as they are now set for October 18th at Nasvhille's Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Finally, we go Inside The Song with James Otto who co-wrote a song with Zac Brown and Wyatt Durrette that Zac included on his 2010 album - "You Get What You Give."
Jaida Dreyer has an incredible amount of talent for a young artist. So much in fact that seasoned producer Byron Gallimore created his own label "Streamsound Records" and threw his support behind her as his flagship artist. Her first single "Guy's Girl" has taken off, and her new album is set for release later this year. Kelly Lynn sat down with Jaida to talk about how her world has hanged in just a few short years.
Colt Ford knows how to create music that moves people across all genres, although his heart is in country music. He's written several number one hits in his career, and is continuing to gain fans at every single show. He's finished up his "Declaration of Independence" tour, which showcases music from his new album, which goes on sale next week. Kelly hooked up with Colt to talk about that new album, and all the special guests featured on the project.
The Country Throwdown Tour went out with a bang, as it concluded here in Nashville with a show at The Woods at Fontanel. The show featured plenty of hot talent, complete with an afternoon summer thunderstorm. Kelly caught up with some of the artists to talk about the Throwdown experience.

Clint Black is also mentioned as he has returned to the small screen. His appearance on Lifetime's "Coming Home" series helped two children write a song about their Army captain father returning home from Afghanistan. Clint was also featured on the PBS series "History Detectives" as he tried to uncover the story behind an artifact his wife had given him years ago. Phil Vassar is mentioned next as he has been named the 2012 "Distinguished Virginian" by the Virginia Association of Broadcasters. Finally, we go Inside The Song with Brett James to talk about the song "Out Last Night," which Kenny Chesney took all the way to number one.
As a young teenager, Marlee Scott knew she wanted to be a singer. After rediscovering country music on the radio, she jumped in with both feet. Her latest album "Beautiful Maybe" was released last month on Big Ride Records, and we had a chance to talk to Marlee about her music and the new album. Here's Kelly with more.
