Edens Edge has been making a lot of noise for a brand new group, but then again they are signed to the Big Machine record label Their debut album was released last month just before heading out on tour with Rascal Flatts. They also released an exclusive disc with bonus tracks in Cracker Barrel Old Country Stores. We had a chance to check in on the group on the set of their latest music video. Here they are talking about the unique concept for their new single "Too Good To Be True."
More than five years after his debut single, Jake Owen finally hit the top of the charts with "Barefoot Blue Jean Night" last year. Little did he know at the time, but his followup single to that hit song would also go all the way to number one. We had a chance to catch up with Jake and the writers behind "Alone With You" at a party at Nashville's Cabana to celebrate.
We kick off another edition of Inside Music Row ith the mention of Billy Ray Cyrus as he will be making his Broadway debut this November as lawyer Billy Flynn in the Tony Award-winning musical "Chicago." Trisha Yearwood is mentioned next as her show "Trisha's Southern Kitchen" will roll out thirteen new episodes in the second season which will premiere this fall on The Food Network. Brad Paisley is also in the new as he is about to return to Scandinavia after his successful tour there last year. He's invited The Band Perry to join him on the four dates in Sweden and Norway this November. Donna Cunningham is also in the news as her duet with Alan Karl "Your Name Is On My Lips" has hit number one on several overseas charts, and her single "A Satisfied Me" is closing in on the top spot on several other charts. That new track is from her latest project "An Exceptional Woman." The legendary all star group The TIme Jumpers have been signed to Rounder Records - look for their new album in stores September 11th. Finally, we go Inside The Song with Marty Raybon to hear about the song "Walking With God At A Guilty Distance," which he wrote with Gerald Crabb.
A year ago, Gwen Sebastian was known in many circles here in Nashville, but since her performances on the hit NBC show "The Voice," her popularity has skyrocketed. We had a chance to chat with Gwen about how her life has changed and her new music at a special event right here in Nashville.
Georgia boy Kip Moore's debut single "Mary Was The Marrying Kind" topped out at number forty-five on the charts. As with every artist, hopes are higher for the next release. Fortunately, Kip delivered, taking his second single "Somethin' Bout A Truck' all the way to the top of the charts. We caught up with Kip and co-writer Dan Couch at a party at BMI to celebrate the accomplishment.
Josh Turner has one of the most recognizable voices in country music today. He's seen lots of success since his 2003 debut "Long Black Train," including his Grand Ole Opry induction in 2007. We had a chance to catch up with Josh to talk about his fifth studio album "Punching Bag."

Up next is The Band Perry - they are working on their sophomore project with producer Rick Runin, who is best known for producing the last five Johnny Cash albums. Rick has also had success producing other projects like Adele's "21," Tom Petty's "Wildflowers," and Nine Inch Nails' "The Downward Spiral." We also mention the reunited group Lonestar as they are set to release a new single "The Countdown" this week. The 20th anniversary summer tour is now making its way around the world and a new album is expected in October. Finally, we go Inside The Song with hot Texas artist Roger Creager as he talks about his song "Turn It Up."
For the sixth consecutive year, Little Big Town hosted the "Ride For A Cure," benefitting the TJ Martell Foundation. A new starting point at Mickey Roo's gives them more flexibility with pre-ride plans before they head on down to the Harley-Davidson Superstore in Columbia, Tennessee. To date...more than 25-hundred motorcycle riders have participated, raising almost 300-thousand dollars to help fight leukemia, cancer and AIDS. Kelly Lynn caught up with a few special guests before the big ride.
Dreamwest Magazine from Paris, France, is one of the 'premiere' magazines devoted to country music and the Nashville lifestyle in Europe. They are also dedicated to helping American artists gain a foothold in the Eiropean music scene, so it makes sense that they host a special event here in Nashville dubbed "Experience Music and Fashion." Hosted by David Church, the event featured many international artists plus a look into a few classic designs from our very own celebrity designer 'Manuel.' Here's Kelly with more.
