We first caught up with Katie Armiger about four years ago on her first trip to Nashville.  She seemed to be a somewhat shy teenager, ready to get her braces off.  She wowed us with her voice, so it’s great to see her come into her own as an incredible artist.  She just released her third album, and Kelly Lynn caught up with Katie for a very special evening.

This week marks the beginning of a new feature on Inside Music Row.  N-S-A-I, or the Nashville Songwriters Association International, has hundreds of thousands of members around the world, all of whom are interested in writing amazing music.  Starting today, we’ll sit down with a professional songwriter in each show to get a little bit of advice for new or established songwriters.  Today we check in with James Dean Hicks, who talks about what kinds of things you should write about.

The Davisson Brothers Band is one of the hardest working groups in country music.  Averaging over 250 shows a year, the group has a remarkable blend of country, southern rock, blues and bluegrass and brings a high-energy show to their fans everywhere they go.  Their popularity is growing from a regional East Coast following to a much more national popularity.  If you haven’t yet heard of them, you’re in for a real treat as Kelly caught up with them on a swing through Nashville.
