  • Ep 12 "Life After Postpartum Depression" - Zahara M.

Postpartum Depression is a very serious illness. The feelings and intensity of depression last much longer than those regular  "baby blues". It is one of the most common experiences after childbirth, with anywhere between 10% - 20% of women going through it.

In a world where mental health illness is always swept under the rug, Postpartum depression is often misunderstood by others, such as friends, partners, and family members.

Patients are often told to "Cheer up" or be "grateful for the birth". This makes the symptoms worse as new mothers tend to feel isolated and confused as to why they are going through such misery.

Being the touchy topic as it is, we decide to bring on a very special guest to talk about her experience surviving this condition not once but twice. Zahara has an inspirational story as she dives deep into her personal story growing up, facing racism, fighting depression, and coming out on top.

She gives great advice for those going through the same trouble. So stay check out the full episode and don't forget to share!

In today's episode, our special guest talks about her journey growing up in India, and finding herself again, after studying in Canada.

  • Ep 10 - "Finding Meaning & Happiness In A New Country" Lokesh Gaglani

Life is a journey to find meaning. Whether it's through materialistic things, raising a family, or personal experiences. Human suffering arises when our values mismatch our daily actions.

Maybe chasing that high-paying career wasn't your calling? Maybe you would've preferred taking an entrepreneur route? Or something more artistic? Or something that would bring you closer to nature? It's our duty to find meaning in what we do.

This will help create a sense of peace and happiness in our lives. However, the right to pursue our dreams needs to be earned. We cannot simply walk away from our personal responsibilities such as being a parent, spouse, or employee.

In today's episode, our special guest Lokesh Gaglani talks about just that. We deep dive into his journey as a parent that migrated to Canada with his wife and young daughter to not only find meaning and happiness but to also give his daughter an opportunity to thrive.

He shares his exciting story of how he managed to shift his negative mindset to becoming the best version of himself, and how he even managed to become friends with a robber.
