Here are some notes from Chris himself:

I launched Swerve Pro Detailing in September of 2024, operating from my home garage and doing mobile work. In May of 2025, I was able to find a great location for my first shop and this created a very fundamental and positive change for the business operations and performance. Prior to starting my venture into detailing, I spent over 25 years working as a business consultant and project manager, where my area of expertise was in business process optimization, technology, and change management. Much of the knowledge I acquired in that career has served me well as an entrepreneur, and I would like to share it with our amazing detailing community. My first 'real' exposure to detailing came when I was in college, when I worked part-time at a local auto body and fabrication shop to help with tuition costs. In that role, I logged hundreds of hours doing final vehicle prep and polishing. I learned a great deal about automotive paints and how to address certain issues like orange peel, nibs, runs, etc. Detailing is not my first business endeavor. With my wife Stacy leading the charge, we owned and operated a furniture, appliances, and electronics store which saw tremendous growth and success before circumstances forced us to begin looking at other options. I am a very proud member of the IDA, and can say with certainty that it has contributed to what we've achieved thus far, as well as personal growth and relationships with some great folks in our industry.

Began working for manufacturers in 2003 at Meguiar's as an Area Sales Manager for the Northeast and later the Mid-Atlantic region. National Sales Manager at RUPES USA for 7 years. National Sales Manager at Nasiol 1from 2023 to present. Heavily engaged in strategic growth initiatives for sales, marketing, and infrastructure with a passion for training and education for the detailing industry. My beliefs are rooted in "Servant Leadership" and relationship building. My passion for training comes from the lack of education that was available during the early days of my professional detailing career. Now that I have the experience, I'd like to share this and help out the industry and eliminate a lot of the painful points of my career through the help through helping others."

A little background from Mike: "Educationally, I've got a background in banking/finance. I've worked in every facet of retail, supervising warehouses, purchasing, and sales. I'm an artist and have been doing custom airbrush painting for over 20 years. By trade, I am a production painter using HVLP, airless, and air-assist equipment. In my time in production, I had roles as a Core Trainer, Subject Matter Expert, Mentor, and the supervisor of the paint department. I started my detailing business in July 2020 after several rounds of layoffs left me the only person on my team, and I was knowing if I would have a job much longer. I've taken Mike Phillips' 3-day auto detailing course and 2-day marine detailing course in Stuart, Florida. I am also an alumnus of Renny Doyle's 5-Day Detailing Success training and Brett Berry's 5-day Shiny Jets training. In addition, I've been fortunate to learn how to install PPF from Mack Gregory. Business-wise, I have been incredibly fortunate to have won the Torch Award for Ethics from the BBB in the ND and MN region. One of only four businesses that are recognized for this prestigious award."
