I saw someone on social media call January the "Free Trial Period" of the year. How was your free trial? Would you buy in for more or opt out? I'd love for you to look back at January and be honest about how the month went. Don't go beating yourself up because you weren't perfect. That's not what this is about. Rather look at where you were successful and why, and where you weren't successful and why. It's these monthly check-ins that can really help propel us forward in our resolutions rather than leaving us stuck and frustrated. If you've given up on resolutions in the past, I'm willing to bet it's been around this time of the year. It's time to write a new plot for this story and start achieving our dreams.

I'm about to ask you something that I wholeheartedly believe will offend you. Are you ready? Ok, here it goes... Whatever it is that you're working toward, is it important to you? I'm hearing a collective - and exasperated - response of 'yes'. Good. The resolutions/dreams/goals that you have in your life should absolutely be important to you. However, if you are setting the same resolutions over and over again because you didn't do the thing last year, I would wonder how imporant the those things are to you. Or, better yet, how does your day mimic its importance. Often times our first excuse is that we don't have time anything. I don't believe we are without time, I believe we could be better stewards of our time. So lets get real with ourselves and our time. This might very well be the key to unlocking success for our dreams/goals/resolutions. 

Are you looking to do some big things this year? If so, I'm willing to bet that at least one of two of those goals are things you've never done before. Well, let me tell you something. In order to do things you've never done before, you're going to have to do some things you've never done before. Understanding that as you dive into your dreams provides such a relief. It removes the pressure of feeling like you have to have things figured out. It also give yous the freedom to try new things and explore what works for you. I want to share something I'm doing this year that I've never done before, but it's something that I know is going to take me to the next level. Let's dive in!

So I've heard you've got big dreams for this new year. And I'm sure, like me, you've got big ideas of how to achieve them. Or maybe you're completely overwhelmed with where to start. I'd like to encourage you to start with... Y-O-U. 

But before you sign up for the class, purchase the workout classes or read the book, I want you to simplify it evern more. When I say "it starts with you" I mean it starts with what's inside of you.

What is your heart truly seeking in this life? This year? This moment? Get crystal clear about what you want and why you want it.

Then, change your mindset. 

This will revolutionize the way you show up for everything in your life, including those big beautiful dreams you have. Do the work within to transform the work on the outside. 

Anyone else heading into the new year feeling like they took themselves out of the game? I feel you on that. My word for 2023 was "Embrace" which was meant for me to grow where I was planted, but somewhere along the way, I just took myself out of the starting lineup of my own life. It's time to take back control of the game. It's time to draw up a new game plan and put the ball in your own hands. This is your moment, your year, your life. And no one can play it better than you. 

Gosh fear loves to hold us back. It can completely paralyze us in life. Not only can fear stifle your hopes and dreams, it can also prevent you from moving forward with things that matter - like your health. I have procrastinated on a doctor's appointment for over a decade only to find out I had nothing to be afraid of. As it turns out, we're afraid of more than just failure. So let's dive into the three things that are holding us preventing us from living our best lives. 

Are you on your phone right now? I realize how redundant that question is. Of course, you're on your phone. How else would you be listening to this episode. I guess a better question is, how often are you on your phone? Do you find yourself mindlessly reaching for it in order to mindlessly scroll social media? I don't know about you, but I don't want to go through life "mindlessly." And to be frank, this little device is probably keeping you from achieving the life you truly want. How? After spending two days at the ACM Awards on media row, I've come away with some truths that I think we need to be reminded of. It's hard not to be inspired and motivated after having conversations with 50+ people who are striving to achieve their dreams at every level. We talked with people who are brand new in the music industry and those who are veterans, plus those who have been working so hard for years and are finally seeing the fruits of their labor. Some of these truths are hard to hear while others are simple yet incredibly motivating. So, let's dive in.

Can we stop with the perfectionism already? We're holding ourselves back and stifling the growth of our lives because we're so hung up on how things "should" be. This prevents so much for manifesting in our lives and quite frankly, it's hurting the relationships around you. Don't you think it's time to hang up your old ways? The secret sauce is to create bite-sized, snackable habits that can serve as the building blocks to crushing those dreams.  See, the great thing about habits is that you don't have to think about them. Think about your bad habits. You catch yourself engaging in them before you even realize what's going on. Now, imagine having good habits that propel you toward your dreams and you don't even have to think about doing them. That is the secret sauce to achieving your dreams.
