THIS HAS TO BE MY FAVORITE RECORDING TO DATE!

There is so much that is significant about this recording that I do not think I will be able to even do it justice with a description! 

Erin is off to Kindergarten and ever since she was born I (Shaun) have always been excited for Erin to turn 5 for so many reasons but mainly NOT HAVING TO PAY FOR DAYCARE!!! (lol)

Spending the entire time of the pandemic being able to be with her every day has been so amazing. Teaching her new things, spending one on one quality time doing things that she wants to do. Preparing her for kindergarten by teaching her math, reading, working on her handwriting and grammar. I could go on for hours about how amazing this time has been.

It was so much fun that we had to even video recorded the podcast recording! Look for the before and after at the end of the school year to see the change. So look, if you haven't listened to episode 6, I strongly URGE you to listen to it in addition to this episode. (Before and/or after). I give the mother of my daughter a lot (and I mean A LOT) of shit. I talk shit all the time too! But today, we had the conversation that needed to be had all because she listened to episode 6, she know's I'm not alone. We were together for 4 years, she heard pain, and excitement in my voice and asked me to talk some shit! Listen to this episode and understand why Insight Freestyle started, why we don't work as a couple (and why we WON'T, EVER, and we both mean EVER WORK), talk about the people we currently love, and so much more. It's a conversation that I truly feel needed to happen so that our daughter, Erin, has the absolute BEST life we can give her. In my honest opinion, this is the most important episode to date!

In 2020 I was diagnosed with having ADHD. I've always had trouble with emotions, behavior, being hyper, not being focused, and most if not all my life I've felt mostly like I don't belong. Recently I've been coming across videos and articles that makes me feel like it's okay to feel the way that I feel and its okay to be the version of me that I'm most comfortable with. Versus not accepting who and what I am because thats what the people around me want. I'm learning to just be okay with this and learning how to manage it. It's not the easiest thing because even that takes an immense amount of focus and attention. Thanks to therapy and friends who, believe it or not, actually support me just by accepting me for me some of those hard days aren't so hard. This is me being mindful about it, accepting it and learning to manage it. I am not a doctor or license therapist and if you or anyone you know struggles with their emotions and wellbeing, its okay to seek help!
