As we conclude the Heart Check series.  Let us be reminded of James 1:25 it says, “However, the person who continues to study God’s perfect laws that make people free and who remains committed to them will be blessed.  People like that don’t merely listen and forget; they actually do what God’s laws say.”

If we say that we love our Heavenly Father, yet we disobey his commands, we are living in error and it’s time for a heart check.  In this new series entitled, "Heart Check," my prayer is that God, would open our eyes where we have become blind; allowing darkness to reside where the Holy Spirit should be.  So that when it's all said and done, we would have learned from our mistakes, counting it all joy.  Knowing that God, truly cares for us and has changed our hearts and minds as we live obeying his commands.

It is so easy in times of uncertainty, to have doubts that anything good can occur to us.  That's why it is so important that we always hold on to the promises that the Lord our God, has spoken and declared would come to pass.

If we remain faithful and obedient to our Heavenly Father's commandments, we will always be victorious in him.  Even if the situation doesn’t seem to be in our favor, and chaos tries to surround us.  Remember we serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords and Matthew 19:26 says, “Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

James 4:1 says, “What causes fights and quarrels among you?  Aren’t they caused by the selfish desires that fight to control you?”

We often pass judgement on one another, for numerous of reasons not realizing and or understanding the dangers of doing so. Luke 6:40-42 gives us insight telling us,  “A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone who is fully trained will be like his teacher.  “Why do you look at the splinter in your brother’s eye, but don’t notice the beam of wood in your own eye?  Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Brother, let me take out the splinter that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam of wood in your eye?  Hypocrite!  First take the beam of wood out of your eye, and then you will see clearly to take out the splinter in your brother’s eye.”  Tune in as I discuss how we are not to judge, because James 4:12 tells us that, “God alone, who gave the law, is the Judge.”

Philippians 2:3-4 says, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves.  Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others.”

Nike is known for several things including their footwear, apparel, etc.  They had a quote a while back that said, “Yesterday you said tomorrow.”  Well, in today's episode I’d like to focus our attention on the topic of being a hearer and a doer of God’s Holy Word by saying, “Just Do It.”

So you’ve done it again.  Just when you thought everything was smooth sailing and life couldn’t get any better.  You are now left feeling frustrated, disgusted, and hopeless, because you know that you’ve allowed your flesh to get the best of you.  Well, God wants you to know, it doesn't matter what you’ve done, thought about doing, are may even be doing right now, you’re never too far gone.  So turn to Christ, repent and allow his presence to change you from the inside out, as he leads and guides you throughout your life.

The first and greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and the second is like it.  Which is to love your neighbor as yourself.  The greatest demonstration of love was displayed when Jesus Christ, laid down his life for us, while we were still sinners.  So, will you allow love or hatred to rule within you, because Proverbs 4:23 is clear in saying, “Guard your heart more than anything else, because the source of your life flows from it.”
