In this episode, Kevin describes the underlying technology of Bitcoin and Ethereum. Which is essentially the blockchain that gives user's the ability to do peer-to-peer lending without the validation of a bank or central party. 

The blockchain also provides users the ability to facilitate transactions that are secured, private, and efficient. The host went into  details of how data is structured on a blockchain and why this information is transparent amongst users. 

Kevin describes some advantages and disadvantages of the blockchain and how it will transform the financial services industry. 

There also were examples discussed of how blockchain can be use in healthcare,  the food industry, the voting system, and even real estate. Also smart contracts are another innovative way to utilize the blockchain network.

This episode described the 100 year mark of The Tulsa Race Massacre of 1921. Which happened May 31st-June 1st of 1921.  Also known as the Black Wall Street because of one town called "Greenwood District". This was a flourishing and prosperous city that had many black owned businesses. 

The host provided insight on the tragic event of 1921 that led to $200 million dollars destroyed  in the span of 18 hours. Other topics discussed were the financial impacts of the Tulsa Race Massacre, the history of this event, and strategies with  utilizing group economics.

This episode details the importance of technical analysis when investing in stocks, cryptocurrencies, forex, etc. Technical analysis is simply looking at historical price patterns or trends within the market. 

The goal is to be able to see when an asset is in an upward (bullish) trend or a downward (bearish) trend. Analyzing these price movements allows an investor to determine what will happen with price of the asset in the future. 

Some common technical indicators I mention were moving day averages, support and resistance. All of this allows an investor to minimize their risk and preserve capital over the long term.

Biden is proposing a plan to raise capital gains tax on the wealthy. Specifically those that make at least $1 million per year. The long term capital gains tax would potentially increase to 39.6%. Which would nearly be double than the highest current rate of 20%. 

Throughout the episode I discussed how the increase would impact some investors with stocks and cryptocurrencies. I explain what Biden plans to do with the taxes, which will go mostly to the American Families Plan. 

This would help with funding education and assisting with his Infrastructure Plan. Lastly I provided context of how cryptocurrencies are taxed when you sell, received them as a payment, exchanged, or convert this digital currency.
