With more and more social prescribing, the arts are a cure to help the NHS.  Already with research and test funding in Bristol, Wales and London trying this new innovative way of increasing arts participating through the NHS. I discuss my thoughts on this. Is this a good use of public funding? Who should pay for it? And as a taxpayer what are your thoughts on this topic? Let me know your thoughts below.

Tandem is a writing collective established and run by playwrights, Jennifer Adam, Amy Hawes and Mhairi Quinn. They travel between Edinburgh and Glasgow linking up with creatives on the grassroots theatre scene. Tandem has new writing at its heart and was established to perform short taster pieces of theatre that Amy, Jennifer and Mhairi have created after reading and critiquing each other’s work. I talk to the ladies on their work, how they began the organisation and how you can get involved with the organisation.

With 15 years of experience as a  strategic leader, project manager and innovation producer, Lindsay Dunbar is a ‘cultural crofter’ nurturing and tending to creative  projects in rural areas.  This year Lindsay created her research 'Forgotten Regions: Developing Theatre Through Rural Creative Hubs' which she shared at this years Edinburgh Fringe.  I talk to Lindsay about this work and her thoughts on how more theatre is created in Rural Areas.
