Leslie is a TEDx speaker, author of the book Probably Benign, and founder of MyDensityMatters.org. Leslie was diagnosed with Stage IV breast cancer in November 2017 after an ‘all clear’ mammogram and ultrasound, experiencing first hand the failings of our current breast cancer screening technologies. She is now determined to empower women everywhere to get the breast cancer screening they deserve to have so that more women with breast cancer become survivors.
My other guest, my very dear friend and Leslie’s partner in crime is, Susan LePlae Miller. Soon after the pandemic shifted her career, Susan created Pieces of I, LLC to Empower Social Impact Projects, and is currently working on two core initiatives: Empower Your Breast Health - a breast cancer screening awareness initiative that helps women to advocate for their breast health and #Teach1 - a "pay it forward methodology" to help small businesses and the at-risk population.
