I have a long history of not thinking the nicest things about myself. And with 60,000 thoughts a day, that boils down to about 2,500 thoughts an hour which is a lot of opportunity to be mean to me!
Turning it around took attention and diligence, and of course I still have bad days where I want to hide in the cave, BUT once you identify a thought that you realize is recurring, that empowers you to decide if you want to hold on to it and that's exactly what I did.
