#51 | January 17, 2022 Cancer Full Moon Mindful Reiki Energy Healing Meditation
This one is best done between January 17-25, 2022
The moon is full and in its home sign of Cancer yet what does this mean for you? It is guiding us on a path to personal and collective empowerment.
It is bringing: a turning point in our path of personal and emotional maturation. A chance to deepen our knowledge of ourselves, to release from non-beneficial instinctive reactions, emotional and mental patterns that are no longer serving us. The invitation is to release attachments that don't serve us, embody our authentic power, and embrace letting go and allowing yourself to be in the flow.
The sign of Cancer is emotional and deep. The Moon is ruled by the sign of Cancer, and feels very at home here. Just like coming home after a long day out, taking off your shoes, plopping on the couch, and letting it all unravel…the energy during this time is urging you to let out a big sigh and unwind. When you find yourself resisting the certain emotions and deep inner knowledge they may be bringing, you’ll find even more uncomfortable so practice releasing any resistance to relaxation otherwise you may feel ever more discomfort, irritability, etc. To help find ease through this Full Moon, you’re guided to slow down, let your sensitivities be free, and just observe what’s happening (without any judgment on yourself).
During this Full Moon, you may also experience:
>vivid dreams including people from your past
>flare ups of mental and physical ailments
>the need for comfort and ease
Some Full Moons are more emotional than others, and this may take first place. Be gentle with yourself, dear one. When the moon is at home, it feels safe, and that’s why it can unload all it needs to. You’re safe here too.
For the Cancer Full Moon Mindful Reiki Energy Healing Meditation you will need:
1st Step: Writing Prompts: Take your pen and paper and begin writing down 10 things you wish to release and let go of from your life. You can use the prompts below as a guide, or you can simply write whatever is most relevant to you.
I release this unworthiness.
I release this fear and anger.
Writing Prompt #2: Fill in the Blank and Write the following 3 times in your journal.
Fill in the blank now - I would like to release control of_____I choose to release this now.
Fill in the blank: I give away my power when_____. I choose to release this now.
Fill in the blank: I find myself playing small when_____. I choose to release this now.
Anything else you wish to release – write it out in the same way as above.
2nd Step: Take your paper(s) and light them using the matches/lighter. Please be careful when you do this. When the paper begins to burn place it in the bowl of water. (You do not need to burn the papers completely, just a small amount is ok.) Make sure there are no active flames and that it completely goes out.
As the papers are burned, if you wish, let Reiki clear and release this from you and let the Reiki Light move through you and around you. Showering you, the papers, and the water in Reiki Light and say, "I ask to release all of this now, for the highest good. And so it is. Thank you."
3rd Step: When you are complete with this, go outside under the light of the Moon and pour the water and the papers into the earth. (If you can’t do this step where you are, it is fine to discard the water in the drain and the papers in the recycling.)
When you do pour it out, feel the gratitude and the Light filling you. And so it is!
