in late march 2021, after a year of lockdown, i got on a plane to costa rica with no plan and told almost no one where i was going or what i was doing. this is where the story starts.
i was about to turn 30.
the universe had presented me with multiple options for how to bring that new decade in: celebrate with the friends i loved but had long outgrown, go to a 10 day silent meditation, or get on a plane and leave it all behind.
in fear and in trust, i followed the voice i'd spent most of my life being guided by while simultaneously half-ignoring—the one that just says, you must —and flew standby to san josé on a flight i was not supposed to have been able to get a seat on.
this episode is about flow state and intuition, about the fear that tries to convince you the magic is gone, and what it actually feels like to commit to yourself. it's the beginning of a five-year journey back to every place i'd ever been on earth, to gather up the pieces of myself i'd left behind.
