Tomorrow I leave for the funeral of my friend who died and I will be speaking at his service and I will be saying something like this, "Bob was my friend let me tell you how I remember him." And that's a good reminder for all of us because we will all be remembered someday. And then I take up my own challenge. I'm going to tell you about one of the most attractive men I have ever met. I met him shortly after he retired after an incredible life's work. But he still had much to do and let me tell you why he was so attractive.
But since Bob was an old-fashioned radio guy who used to joke that "if you were going to die you had to give 24 hours notice so we can replace you on the show."... We will carry on and learn some lessons and I want to continue talking about the marketing rule of seven and what you might need to be more attractive. And would you please tell me about the person who you know who is one of the most attractive person you've ever met or known... Just please pay attention for 15 minutes and you'll learn all of this good stuff if you pay attention.
Well that's what happened to me Sunday night and that was quite a challenge. How would you respond if you got such a message? Maybe you have and what kind of message or suggestion would you have for me and for others. Well that's part of my Monday that then went on to some other difficulties. But I hope I handled this one well and it is a story that I'd like to tell people about perhaps to hear your comments or thoughts and maybe share a prayer or two with me for my friend,
we continue our discussion our conversation and today I would like to tell you why you should expand your wisdom in order to be the leader and business builder that you will need to be in today's chaotic crisis ridden world. Start looking for, and start listening to and start becoming the man or woman of wisdom. Because without wisdom you will never experience true wealth. So let me tell you the story in just about 15 minutes.
You see, the CEO is all about the business, but the CHO is all about the customer, the client, and the people who actually make the business successful. So today I'm gonna tell you a couple of my favorite stories about how your organization, your business, and even the cause that you believe in, will do better if you start thinking differently. Remember, the key to success is BE DIFFERENT, and here is a way to do that in a way that will make a big difference.
Some years ago there was a book it was called The Prayer of Jabez. It was a hotly contested little book where they took a few words and made a style of life and business out of them. Some people hated it and some people loved it... And the whole idea was that you should be expanding, you should be bigger, be better, and perhaps even have more good stuff and make more good money.
Well in today's world would it be good to know how to expand your territory and expand your influence? So YOU will have more of the good things in life ... And that's an interesting idea and in the next 15 minutes we're gonna talk about that.
The world is very messy right now and life in business is very challenging and things do not appear to be getting better. So what do we do? And please remember that the purpose of this program is to help you be different, unique, and make an impact in your world. Interesting ideas will help you be better and do better... So may I challenge you to take 12 minutes and listen to my program flowing into the weekend and perhaps you will have far more courage in your life and less anxiety about your future. Thanks for listening, Stan
Thank you for joining me on this Thursday edition of Interesting Ideas. I want to thank you for your interest and tell you about some of the other podcast possibilities that you might want to participate in. Then ...
May I introduce you to an idea that is not only interesting but powerful from Tom Webster. It would be good for you to take his question about what makes you strong seriously. The world is in a mess and we need strong people with the confidence to speak clearly and compassionately and with great truth. Why don't you resolve to be one of the few who will do just that. This is truly the 10 minutes of clarity for me and for you.
