Interesting ideas with Stan Hustad

 in the next 10 minutes he will learn a very important lesson about being successful in life and business.  Business is about getting people to do what you want them to do.  You want them to buy from you. They would prefer to keep their money and so if you want them to give it to you you have to affect them in someway positive and useful to them. Most businesses do that stupidly.  So don't be stupid and here's the story.

My new friend wrote a letter in which he outlined a number of the things that he learned in one of my classes that he has described as life-changing.  I know you hear people say that often, but as I share what he said I think you might find that it might not be always life-changing but it can certainly help you change how you do your business and that might be very helpful useful and practical. So on this Wednesday when you're very busy just takes six minutes to see if this could be helpful to you too/

One of the stories in the Easter tradition never quite caught on as I was hoping it would.  It seems that on the following Monday after Easter Sunday that his friends have gone back to work, and Jesus is watching them on the shore seeking to catch fish and he's cooking breakfast for them.

Well obviously there's a story there so on this Easter Monday evening take a few minutes to think about this idea and obviously it's too late to do this year but maybe you can think about it next year. Let's start a new workplace tradition.

 I would be grateful that on this Easter evening that you would take about seven minutes to hear a story told by a mentor of mine.  Someone once said that because they were hostile because they were curious, "what is this Easter thing all about anyhow?"  Well today on the news Archbishop Dolan of New York kind of summarized the whole thing in about two minutes. And maybe this story is just like that.  So take some time after the confusion and the celebration of the day to just listen for a while and then see what moves you as you move into Monday.

Can I take you back many years when one of the first films I saw was the film Ben Hur.  I saw it in Chicago when it first premiered, and of course I've seen many times as it for many years was "the film" at the television stations often played during the Easter season celebration.  It was an incredible film and still is.  If you've never seen it do that. And in about 12 minutes can I reminisce about why I was so deeply moved by two special scenes that truly stood my mind move my spirit and touched my heart even at a young age and the very memory still does..  Me on this Saturday night vigil.

Yes when you think about it and what the day commemorates, it is very unusual that they would use the term Good for the day.  Can I invite you to join me for about seven minutes as I asked one of my good friends and he has a wonderful story that might illustrate that perhaps there really is something good about the day and so something that you can even enjoy.  And I'd be grateful if you would even pass the program on to others.

This is the Day of the great betrayal. This is the day when Judas the follower betrayed his friend mentor in Master, Jesus.   Why did he do that?  And why in the world did Jesus even choose him to be one of his followers and closest disciple. That certainly seems to be a bad choice. Please give me a few minutes on this day that is called Maundy Thursday to share with you an idea that might help you because there's a very good chance that would happen to Jesus is going to happen to you too!
