  • Do You know about The National Day of The Cowboy? It's a wonderful Interesting Idea

Every July in a number of western states of the USA there is a time of celebration in many towns, communities and many organizations and fellowships come together. This year July 24th is the 17th annual celebration of National Day of the Cowboy.  And it is a wonderful time and it brings back lots of stories, a great deal of American history and perhaps even more important, it reminds us of the code of the west and perhaps how we need Western tradition to perhaps even save Western Civilization.  I have invited two friends to tell you the story. So stay tuned for 25 minutes of learning good things that you never knew, fun things to learn and perhaps a lesson or two about life  and business in the Cowboy Way.

  • From Buggies To Buicks & You will learn more about Cars than YOU ever thought possible

And after hearing this introductory audition and story you'll agree with me that you truly will learn more interesting, wild, crazy and wonderful things that you never thought possible about the love affair that the American people have had with their automobiles.

After years of being the Route 66 guru Jim has decided that he will now talk about the cars that often made that journey on the Mother Road, and the even more remarkable fact of how much the country was changed not only by the invention of the car but all that it brought about in the stories of the cars, the man who created them, and even more interesting ideas and stories.

  • Healing Veterans & Healing Horses - Story of Base Camp for Veterans

Let me introduce you to some remarkable people with an interesting idea. One veteran once said, "when you go to war many are killed, and all are wounded."  And we've all heard stories of longtime veterans who wake up screaming in the middle the night even decades after the conflict.

And and of course there are many physical and often ghastly wounds that are suffered by those who serve, and there are also all other emotional and psychological and relational wounds that come to the veterans...

But these two people decided that are many, and maybe better ways to help the hurting and needing healing veteran... And it's about taming wild horses.  You need to hear Deborah's and Theo's stories  it's more than interesting it's far better, it's about healing!

  • Don't take the road less traveled, create new trails. Now that's an interesting idea

It's a busy Tuesday and today I went down some trails that are risky challenging and incredibly full of joy and opportunity. All at the same time. I was one of the first to discover the book, The Road Less Traveled, and in many ways it was life-changing. And since that I have lived rather dangerously and I can also say I've suffered great catastrophe. But I'm back.  And now to use an old cowboy legend, it's time to create some new trails in our life and in our business. Do you want to join me because I can help you.

  • The Test of a Good Religion is that you can make a joke about it. Now that's an Interesting idea.

I often have said that one of the best ways to be successful in any endeavor is not necessarily to be the expert but to be a man or a woman who is interesting and has lots of interesting ideas.  Unfortunately the Covid crisis has taught us to be suspicious of many so-called experts, and rightly so... So let's lighten up. Don't take ourselves too seriously, and .recognize that a sense of humor is vital to the good life... And the power of deep humility in an incredible story about the heroes of Iwo Jima.

  • How about Helping Kids Who Can't go to Bed at Night - That's an interesting idea

I literally began to tingle inside with a big smile on my face and almost a tear in my eye as I listen to my friend John tell the story just exactly about that, how about helping kids who can't go to bed at night.

I remember the joy I used to have and being able to tuck my little girls into their beds, say their prayers, and wish them well, and know they had a nice bed, warm covers and that they could get the sleep that they needed. But millions of kids can't do that and don't have that happen  it doesn't have to be that way.

The next 25 minutes could be life-changing.  Let's build a bed.

  • Doing a podcast might be better for you than going to a therapist. That's an interesting idea

Yes of course I admit the title is a bit of Clickbait. But I do want to get your attention because I think this is important.  But you're saying to me how can that be ,or what in the world do you mean by that. Are you really serious are you just putting us on.  Well we always seek to have a little fun and we will do that today, but I think you might find that what we have to say just might be very helpful to you, your career, and how you deal with these days as we all seek a Covid Comeback in life.

  • They decided to leave the blood right on the church pews so that they would always remember!

Today someone wrote, we are living in dark times. I would agree but we've lived through many dark times and we will live through many more. And in some cases we may not even survive them. And that's something we have to know when we travel the road less traveled.    You see most of us live cautiously but from time to time our ordinary lives might call for extraordinary courage.  As I do this little program on Sunday night 6 June I'm holding a little rock in my hand. So may I tell you the story of the rock in my hand and the blood on the benches so that we can always remember.

  • Shoot an arrow straight up in the air and see if it falls on your head, That's an Interesting Idea!.

If I'm going to succeed and make a difference and be a person to be reckoned with in the post Covid world I am going to have to be a creator and I'm going to have to be always looking for new ideas. And the same is true for you. Now here is an interesting idea and it's just that an idea ,but it's based on a true belief and true events. But though we do not take the idea seriously what it may represent is very serious. How are we going to become people who are bold brave and strong in the messed up messy world that we live in today. Well let's just take 15 minutes to listen to the story and then you can decide what you want to do. If anything!

  • We are all Jews here. That's an interesting idea. And that idea saved many lives

World War II Master Sgt Roddie Edmonds

Please write that name down so you remember it and do some wonderful work with it.     The fifth American to be named as a Righteous Gentile and the only one to have saved lives of American Jews. Edmonds never got around to telling his own story.  He did not speak much about his experiences. His family only knew that he had been taken prisoner by the Germans during the Battle of the Bulge and that he had survived 100 days of captivity before returning home.  hHs son, Reverend Chris Edmonds mentioned that when he would ask his father about the war, he often told him only "some things were too difficult to talk about"

And later his son discovered that his quiet father had been an incredible heroic hero, and saved many many lives and the lives of many yet to come. You need to take the 12 minutes to listen to the story.

You will not forget it and you'll probably start doing some research on your own.  Then be blessed and bless others as Roddie Edmonds blessed so many.
