Interesting ideas with Stan Hustad

Do you like your name?  Obviously it was not for the most part our choice. But at least for a while you are stuck with it.  Many years ago a beautiful girl name Karen,  said yes when I asked the big question.  If any of you don't believe in grace or mercy I am living proof that it is real.  But now she is seriously thinking of changing her name.  And many of you know why. Is that a serious or a good idea.  This week we're going to be talking about changing names, because that's an interesting idea.

Well you're probably asking yourself what in the world does that mean? Let me tell you in 10 minutes why it is vital that you at least consider learning the broadcasting and performing arts. All business is show business and you need to put on a audio and a video show from time to time in the right and specific places if you want to reach a great number of different audiences.

Here our partner, Stan Hustad, who produces many podcast programs, has done many in the past, and wants to help you do yours in the future, will tell you about the opportunity you have to be on his Interesting Ideas program ... and then the help you find a way to have the program of your own on the platform station of your own, so that you can have insight, influence, impact, and also have a variety of great and good "incomes" of your own.

Indeed it's a feel-good story and give me just a few minutes to give a little obituary about the extraordinary life of the great American actor Sydney Poitier who passed away at the age of 94 this past Friday. The story is inspiring but what made him famous is that he learned to do something very important, and he did it. And you will discover that it is something that you need to do to if you want to make your mark in the marketplace today. So join me.

Well today I'm going to combine two stories.  Let me ell you about my friend who said just that, "I'm kind of like God I have no problem with sin, but stupidity that's something else"   He's a very smart man with a quick wit and ready smile and you can learn something from what he said ... Then we segue, let me tell you why I believe Donald Trump canceled the January 6 press conference that he was going to hold that day.  It's because he's not stupid.  Again in 20 minutes you'll learn more here by accident than most places by design!

My New York City daughter who is an author and the writer once to said to me, "I really need to find out more about this Pastor Carl because obviously he changed my life."  However she never met him or knew him so how could that be.  She then explains that "he had such an incredible influence on my parents and what they did, and what they did certainly changed and affected my life."  So on this New Year's Day join with me and reminiscing with two close friends about the legacy of Pastor Carl.

In my many years of trying to teach people how to be broadcasters there were a number of people we just couldn't handle it.  Not that they didn't have the talent but they lack the temperament.  They are just far too serious all the time and unfortunately boring most of the time.  Well I hope I'm neither and I like to have fun, and so today since I love dogs and miss my Jackson the wonder dog so much.  I want to ask, what do dogs do in dog heaven.

One of my dear friends a pastor passed away on Christmas Eve.  Because of that I confess that I have a bit of melancholy because I remember that every Christmas Eve.  And I will again. I learned so many things from him and I remember him after sharing a particular truth or word from the Gospel say... "And isn't that good news."  Let me tell you some good news., you don't have to be afraid anymore.  Here's the story.  And it's about Christmas.

There are literally thousands of stories, allegories, myths, and many legends that have lowed out of the Christmas story... One of those I have even develop myself and shared with many people.  It's called would you like to be Touched By an Angel, and I will probably repeat it to some people again because the story is timeless.  So it is always nice to find maybe a new touch or a new lesson from the old old story. And perhaps this is one that came to me in a special way. Perhaps thanks to people wiser than me but I'd like to be the person to share it with you.

I'm a very lucky man I've got a very good job. I get to do what I love to do and I work in a nice pleasant surrounding.  But as Mike Rowe has made it known to the world there are lots of good folks who just do dirty jobs... And now there's a song that says even Santa Claus has a dirty job.  With your permission I'd like to segue out of that story and into the story about a woman welder and how worshiping God go together. It keeps things from flying apart.

Finally we are back on the air after almost 4 months of radio silence... And during those four months I made many changes in my life and I learned many new things and suffered through many difficulties and also had many blessings and even some possible life-saving events.

Now is the time, please give me 15 minutes to tell you about a new and yet very old idea that we believe can help us to totally re-invent radio. Radio will never be the same in the future and we want you to be a part of the future success that is to come.
