Distant Worlds is a concert series centered around the Final Fantasy franchise. Produced by AWR music and debuting in 2007, Distant Worlds brings the music of Final Fantasy to audiences around the world.
This year marks the 15th anniversary of Distant Worlds and the 35th anniversary of Final Fantasy. The concert series premiered in Tokyo, Japan on Aug. 6, with a North American premiere set for Chicago on Sept. 10. The Chicago performance will have vocalist Rikki performing "Suteki da ne" from Final Fantasy X along with legendary composer Yoko Shimomura in attendance.
Arnie Roth is a Grammy-winning musician and conductor of Distant Worlds. Throughout the years he has continued to bring the music of Final Fantasy to fans all over the world. This short interview aims to discuss the past and future of Distant Worlds, along with recalling some memories along the way.
