Mental Health Resources: a couple of things about mental health hotlines and resources. Very few resources are adoptee or first family centric. In addition, some are connected to policing, meaning that, if provided with enough identifying information, the mandated reporter may feel a duty to dispatch law enforcement if they feel your life is in danger. They can be a great resource; they should just be used with informed consent.
