Today’s show focuses on Hurricane Ian’s frightening devastation in Florida. With homes destroyed, lives lost, electricity not fully restored, and rescue efforts still underway, Dana speaks with FEMA administrator Deanne Criswell and Florida Senators Rick Scott and Marco Rubio about recovery efforts after one of Florida’s largest storms on record. Dana also questions Sen. Scott about former President Trump’s “death wish” comments about Mitch McConnell on social media. She also asks Sen. Rubio about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s threats to deploy nuclear weapons and whether Russia sabotaged a key underwater gas pipeline to Europe.

Plus, Dana heads to one of the most competitive House races in the country for a special report on voters’ top issues heading into the midterms.

On today’s panel, Ashley Allison, Scott Jennings, Xochitl Hinojosa, and Brendan Buck join Dana to discuss whether Republicans will speak out against Trump’s latest social media comments, how Hurricane Ian is impacting Florida Gov. DeSantis’ political future, and former President Obama’s warning to voters about what could happen if Republicans take the House.
