Happy Pride and Juneteenth everyone!  We are a little late with this episode, but we wanted to bring to light the injustice of the murder of Tracy Single, an African American transgender woman.  In addition to this murder, we will memorialize a long list of transgender people who have been murdered, along with some local African American murders that still have not been solved.  The fact that there is so little information about them; so little coverage on them; so little done about any of them!  We must stop treating people of color, and the people of the LGBTQ+ community as if they don't matter.  These are human beings!  These lives mattered!  What gives anyone the right to judge other people based on their lifestyle choices, or the color of their skin?  Who decided they could do that?  Please listen to this episode with an open heart and mind, and love in your heart.  If you can't, then move on to another podcast.  One with a more narrow minded audience.  We aren't about that.  We love everyone here, and if you can't, then this isn't the podcast for you.  That being said...LOVE EVERYONE EQUALLY AND THAT LOVE WILL SPREAD LIKE WILDFIRE.  SPREAD HATE AND IT WILL DO THE SAME.  ONLY ONE IS WORTH DOING...YOU DECIDE.  LOVE Y'ALL!

This is the story of the murder of Leah Donnice Martin in 2015.  She was tragically murdered by Billy Ray Minkley, Jr.  Although there was another man involved, and another suspected of helping to plan her murder, only one actually committed the act.  Leah was a mother, and a lover of the outdoors.  At just 22 years old, her life was senselessly cut short in a twisted tale of greed, jealousy, and cold blooded murder.  This is the life and death of Leah Donnice Martin.

This is the unsolved case of a serial killer who terrorized couples looking for some alone time on the backroads of Texarkana in 1946.   Few lived to tell about the horror they had survived, but the rest weren't so fortunate.  This is a terrifying story of a killer resembling the macabre looking villain in the movie "The Strangers".  The killer wore a pillowcase over his head, with the eyes cut out and attacked the unsuspecting couples in the dark at gunpoint while they were parked on what some would call a "Lovers Lane".  The story is very dark, but don't worry, Shelby and I keep it light with our ridiculous accents and our version of 1940's dialogue.  Don't miss this one!  Love y'all!

Have you ever been to Comfort, Texas?  It's a beautiful little town about 45 minutes from San Antonio.  One of our favorite places, with the best people you could ever meet!  But, in March of 2003, a monster made his way through the streets of this safe haven, and murdered two of its beloved town members, Patricia Kutzer, and Terry Ingram.  This story will infuriate you!   A senseless, meaningless crime.

This is the super creepy story of serial killer Charles Albright.  He was penned, "The Eyeball Killer".  He had an obsession with eyeballs thanks to his overprotective/abusive mother introducing him to taxidermy at a very young age.  Can you guess what trophy he took from each of his victims?  "EYE" bet you can!  (wink, wink). This creepo came from Amarillo, Texas, and spent time in prison at Lubbock's own Montford Unit for the criminally insane.  Yeah, that tracks.  This is our longest episode yet!  You don't wanna miss it!
