Intro to Expansion

The seasons are changing just as the times are.

In this episode, I share the moment that let me know winter is coming and what that means for me. I also offer another way to not only look at but also work with these darkening times, the multifacetedness of our gifts, and how our slowing down can lead to great illumination on the other side.

During this time, while we are giving and receiving physical gifts, I invite us to consider how we might give and receive internal gifts to a world that would benefit from them.

This one felt special. Give it a listen.

In this brief episode, I share how this year has surprised me with its contents, what I no longer have to tolerate, and where I’m taking my talents next…

What’s still true, is the gravity and importance of this moment for all of us and our need to stay focused on a future that we’d actually want to inhabit. Remember, though, we always have options.

My work is changing, and I am meeting the opportunity to bring more of my colorful self to it fully and wholeheartedly. And it feels good to begin again.

Of course, just as before, I invite you to join me.

In this reimagining of the myth of Pandora’s box, we explore what might have transpired beyond Pandora’s releasing the evils into the world and her discovery of hope inside the box as she had to live with the consequences of her mistake.

We explore the role her heart plays and what we can learn from that example in today’s age, when the need for courage and heart is at an all-time high.

I also share how my own path and experience has mirrored this process and how my work is evolving.

Put your headphones on and let’s go to a fantastical place.

In this episode, I provide an update on what I’ve been up to since Winterfall, the importance of identifying as creative AND powerful, and how old agreements can keep us stuck.

I also share a sign I received that it was time for me to leave a previous relationship, and how similar directional signs exist for all of us.

Give this one a listen!

What a dynamic time to be alive, eh?

In this first of two standalone episodes, I respond to some of the things happening in the news and around the world to offer some encouragement, enlightenment, and hope.

In this episode, I discuss the implications and symbolism of Zohran Mamdani’s NYC mayoral campaign, the reminder that busy bees have for us about living, and the power and ease that can come from living “from your eternity” in an age of rampant illusion.

Folks, we are swiftly approaching a new frontier, and if we allow ourselves to be totally hijacked by the news cycle and *everything* going on, we won’t properly prepare for it.

There is SO MUCH heart in this episode, give it a listen, reclaim your power and let’s get busy.

With more love than you can imagine,

Mel 🤟🏿

In this see you later episode, I share a few musings that have enchanted me this winter season.

I share more about how Melvyn Winter came to be, or rather came to me, what winter teaches us about creating from seeming death, and how snowflakes are great teachers of individualism and collectivism.

I share what I want to see from all these new creators and business owners popping up, a truth about the fear of “visibility,” and how everything going is simply reorganization and answered prayers.

Come muse with me a bit before we begin a new cycle of seasons come Aries season.

In this month’s roundup episode, I discuss the purpose this stretch of recent posts have served, Winterfall—the rollout of Melvyn Winter, a bit about the accompanying playlist that I’m calling a Sonic Declaration (below).

In this edition, I also discuss some of the current and future astrology and how we can respond to and preempt it. I also share what I’ll be doing now that I’ve completed such a big undertaking. Spoiler alert: Joy. And a little cussing, if need be.

Finally, I charge you with how to navigate in light of all these posts and astrology, leaving you with the poem that has anchored me for 10 years in the spirit of meaningful work.

I thoroughly enjoyed this one and I hope you do, too.

There’s something different in the air…

In this very most important episode, we explore the symbology of the winter season, why I am so obsessed with it, and the work the arrival of winter invites, nay summons, us to.

I also reintroduce myself and commit before you to my mission in this life. I share with you the “weapons” in my quiver and the necessary-ness of contraction ahead of our inevitable expansion.

I also charge you to commit to your own mission; inclusive of your gifts, your contributions, and your paramount role in our shared unfolding.

It has been my distinct pleasure to share with you my transformation.

In this episode, I lay out the various crises brewing just outside of our awareness and how we the people have long been at war.

I cover how we can adequately prepare for the dark and trying times ahead, why they’re necessary, and how our light is what will save us.

Finally, the promise of victory we can carry to help us navigate this “endgame.”

A little bleak to start, but I leave you empowered and with guidelines to navigate these times.

The takeaway? We’re going to be ok. It’s the getting there we’re focused on.

In this deeply personal, era-ending episode, I share my connection with the famed Civil Rights figure, Bayard Rustin, some of his accomplishments prior to the March on Washington, and how I came to adopt his name.

I also discuss how I plan to move forward given the state of the world and what it means to me to follow my own star. You may need tissue for this one and you can’t say you weren’t warned.

Give this a listen.
