In the book of Numbers the Hebrews are across the Red Sea, never to return to Egypt and the exhaustingly hard life of slavery. During the time of Moses only rulers had free time. Working seven days a week, sunup to sunset to survive was normal. While camping in the desert 40 years, these former slaves, the Hebrews, would live better than almost everyone else at that time. Food, drink and lodging were provided by God!

In this episode of Intro to the Beginning Stories we enter the book of Exodus. When Moses' adopted mother found him, she loved him. This Pharaoh’s daughter also found out the truth that Moses was from a Hebrew family. She was not a ruler, so she could not make Moses' neighborhood a safe place to live, but she made it known that Moses was now her son. Even though that government in Egypt did not want to listen to it’s people, a change did come through Pharaoh’s Hebrew grandson Moses.

The first humans talk to the animals.  Nightly they gaze at the stars and enjoy the beautiful flickering lights. The sun is not too hot and the first humans don’t get sunburn. There is always enough food to eat. They don’t have to work for a paycheck or pay a bill. It’s perfect until-as in every time in every place on this planet, there is sorrow, and death.
