Journalist Hailey Holloway heads back to Gainesville, Florida to dig into the mysterious murder of Judy MacFarlane. Judy's inexplicable death was one of the strangest cases of her time, but it was buried and long-forgotten. Hailey is teaming up with the first detective to re-open the case since Judy's death in 1992 to try and figure out what happened to the young mother of four, why her murder seems to have been pushed aside, and sort through the complicated list of who may have been responsible.
