  • Sweetzak - The Center of It All [FemacosmĂ©]
    READ > https://inverted-audio.com/sweetzak-intuitive-fields
Following the acclaimed debut of Rue des Garderies’ collaborative album in 2024 — ranked No. 1 in our Best Albums of the Year for its hauntingly textural take on ambient electronic music — @femacosme label boss RaphaĂ«l Fragil announces the label’s second physical release, the debut solo album from Rue des Garderies co-producer, Sweetzak.
Crafted like an intimate orchestra, each piece unveils a personal world - shifting landscapes and imagined skies rendered with emotional depth and textural grace. Our standout track from the album is 'The Centre Of It All', a wormhole of introspection that descends into the abyss with hypnotic allure. Drawing on the looping melancholy of William Basinski, it weaves decaying textures into a sonic meditation made for mind expansion.

  • Anechoic - Offcuts (Marco Shuttle remix) [Cosmic Wave]
    READ > inverted-audio.com/premiere-anechoic-offcuts-marco-shuttle-remix
Eight years deep into their voyage through the outer margins of sound, Cosmic Wave Records reemerge from the ether with ‘In Echoes Of Fractured Light’, a brooding and luminescent EP from Paris-based sound-sculptor Anechoic...For the premiere, we dive into Marco Shuttle’s reimagining of ‘Offcuts’ - a vertiginous trance-techno elevation that stretches time into liquid. Shuttle peels back the skin of the original and reveals a stroboscopic skeleton: submerged bass pulses, neon-lit pads evaporating into the void and machine rhythms spun tight like quantum clockwork. It’s trance not as genre, but as state. Bells echo in distant gravity wells, flickering like lighthouses of a civilisation long submerged. Somewhere between a lost orbital rave and a ritual in the ruins of deep space, where collective euphoria and solitary drift are two sides of the same cosmic coin.

  • Beraber - Lost in Loops [United Identities]
    READ > inverted-audio.com/premiere-beraber-lost-in-loops
Utrecht-based record label United Identities line up ‘Gentle Actions’, a smoke-hazed vinyl release from Amsterdam-based producer Beraber...Our pick from the EP is ‘Lost In Loops’. Laden with kick-drums soaked in soft distortion, nocturnal funk fuelled synth progressions and bouncy basslines coiled around pads, distorted vocals stir up the funk and increase the rhythmic drive. Fusing vulnerability and rhythm into a velvet hypnosis, Beraber offers a sanctuary for those willing to lose themselves in the dance.

  • Kuiper Belt - Balancing Act [Loop Of Life]
    READ > inverted-audio.com/premiere-kuiper-belt-balancing-act
Lowercase Life's sublabel Loop Of Life present ‘Balancing Act‘ - the debut extended-player from Italian producer Kuiper Belt, named after the celestial dust ring imagined by Dutch astronomer Gerard Kuiper back in 1951...Our pick is ‘Balancing Act‘ - a shapeshifting electro track that begins in subdued shimmer. Arpeggios flickering like sodium lights on an abandoned overpass, before launching into a syncopated frenzy of breakbeats and scorched basslines. As synthetic lifeforms rise, ‘Balancing Act’ becomes a trans-dimensional joyride powered by the ghosts of dancefloors.

  • Lauer - H00V [LumiĂšre Noire]
    READ > inverted-audio.com/premiere-lauer-h00v
Parisian imprint Lumiùre Noire continue to navigate the liminal zones of sound art and club culture with their second 4-track various artists compilation 'Flash Vol. 2'. Our pick is the final offering 'H00V' from Frankfurt-based producer Lauer - a track that doesn’t so much announce itself as crash in through the side door. Built on a snarling, rubberized bassline and precision-tooled garage drums, ‘H00V’ flirts with early-2000s UK Garage while keeping one eye locked on the horizon.

Five years since their first release, Thisbe Recordings prepare to unveil 'Mutation' from Lausanne-born now Berlin-based label boss Pyrame...Our pick is Oltrefuturo's 'Trance-A-Lento Mix' thanks to its slow and meditative tempo, it exhales a shimmering pulse of analogue psychedelia resulting in a dreamlike quality where distorted radio transmissions, warped arpeggios and cosmic strains blend into a hypnotic drift.

  • IA MIX 392 Wrecked Lightship
    INTERVIEW + TRACKLIST > https://inverted-audio.com/mix/wrecked-lightship
Following the release of their second album last year, Adam Winchester and Laurie Osborne return as Wrecked Lightship on Peak Oil with their latest album 'Drained Strands', opening the hallowed doors of their submarine to all types of distorted fantasies.
As the name suggests, @wreckedlightship carries fractured memories of vessels forgotten in vast expanses, from the sea and beyond. The weight of their work conjures images of desolate landscapes beyond human reach, yet their invitation into this sonic vision becomes a ticket to inhabit the very space of extraterrestrials.
'Drained Strands' withholds a kind of extraordinary beauty that is more often felt than heard. This combined performance unit of solo acts Appleblim & Wedge exists in an untethered vortex - one built from scattered electronics and bruised hearts. All of this culminates in IA MIX 392, a studio mix where heavy scores of bass and a plethora of textures, some borrowed and some unheard, bubble together in a melting pot of comfort and disorder.

  • Yujinn - Morph
    READ > inverted-audio.compremiere-yujinn-morph
Amidst the quiet passageways of London’s thoroughfares, Yujinn carves her own sonic path, self-releasing ‘Ambience’, a debut EP that blurs the lines between memory, migration, and machine...Premiering today, ‘Morph’ emerges as the EP’s quiet centrepiece: a slow-burning meditation hovering at 85 BPM, dubby and experimental. The track breathes in long exhales, arpeggios stretch like distant lighthouse beams, while granular textures and drones wrap the listener up in a velvety fog.

  • BENKHLIFA - Kyzyl [Positive Reaction]
    READ > inverted-audio.com/premiere-benkhlifa-kyzyl
Emerging from the fertile soil between Tunisia and Berlin, Positive Reaction present their second compilation '+R002'. Not merely an imprint, but a cultural portal, the label carves a path through the dense foliage of global dancefloor cuts, connecting North Africa’s underexposed brilliance with the visceral pulse of Europe’s club heritage..Our pick, BENKHLIFA’s ‘Kyzyl’, arrives like an encrypted transmission from a rave in orbit. Named after the windswept city in southern Kazakhstan, the track coils through a glitched-out dreamscape where trance skitters over scorched-earth bass. Searing synths hover like drones on the edge of collapse, while the melody flashes in and out of signal like a memory refusing to fade. BENKHLIFA orchestrates the chaos with uncanny restraint, channeling a dark anaesthesia that conjures both the isolation of desert silence and the communion of a packed dancefloor.
