Men are from mars and women from Venus was the title of Dr. John Gray’s book which shaped many relationships and tried to explain the difference between men and women and how they can co-exist. Did it help? Maybe, but as we look at today's world, we find so many unhappy couples, shattered dreams, and broken homes. 

However, The desire to connect intimately is still very rife as you can see by the number of people fervently swiping on dating apps. And then the cycle repeats with challenging relationships and more breakups. 

So far, in my opinion, The focus has always been on women to learn and do better but today we take the focus off women and look into the men and why many are unhappy and lonely. 

Our guest today is  Dr. Avrum Weiss. He is a psychotherapist, an award-winning author, and a teacher. 

His decade-long work on understanding the internal lives of men culminated with his recently published bestseller “Hidden in Plain Sight: How Men’s Fears of Women Shape Their Intimate Relationships”.

He is a regular contributor to the Psychology Today website and offers workshops nationally about psychotherapy with men and helping men and women understand each other.
