In this episode, we continue our look at Irish creatures from folklore! The Kelpie is a traditional water horse, the most famous of which is Nessie, the Loch Ness Monster of Scotland. But Ireland has its fair share of lake monsters, with the kelpie being the most well-known. The Selkie is another lake monster, but more of a seal that can shapeshift into human form. The Dullahan is more of a specter, a supernatural entity, a headless horseman (or coachman) of Irish mythology. Finally we discuss the far darrig, a creature similar to a leprechaun, but wearing all red and seemingly even more mischievous.
