In this episode, Sarah talks to her Saturday morning TV presenting buddy and Blue Peter badass Katy Hill and Louise chips in where necessary!
We talk Imposter Syndrome; the increasing mental load; TV presenting; just being ourselves; the fact the Japanese word for Menopause is Spring for new beginnings.
She gives us an amazing strategy for overcoming feeling overwhelmed - and let's just say it involves Channing Tatum's bottom! Our kind of tip.
Taking the best from 2021 and seeing it as a refresher. And we mustn't forget to eat the frog first thing every morning - it's not as bad as it sounds!
Find all the details for Katy's coaching at KatyHill.com and download her podcast Limitless by Katy Hill for loads more.

WELCOME TO SEASON 2!!! Needless to say, we are very excited!
We would like to introduce you to Cat Robinson Armor - the Hormone Fairy.
Cat is such a great guest for us as she speaks our language. We don’t have to be “good” all of the time - hurray! She recommends a solid baseline for which supplements we should all be taking; tips for sweaty underboobs that don’t involve Sarah’s pants; how we should look after ourselves in the different phases of our cycles; why our hangovers are so bad now and we reserve the right to patent a new period app and coping hormone! All this has led to Sarah and Louise realising AGAIN that we need to keep a diary - when will this happen?!

We are so happy to get the opportunity to talk with Sam Baker - author of The Shift and fellow Podcaster of the same name. She describes the book as the book she would have wanted to read in her mid-40s - it documents all the things she wishes she had known. Forewarned is forearmed after all! In this episode we talk about how great it is to get through the other side of Perimenopause; about not giving a shit anymore; how much we hate the word crazy; caring less and putting up with things that we really shouldn't be putting up with!
And finally - we don't believe in age-appropriate bullshit!!

We loved talking to our guest this week Michelle Heaton all about her early Menopause experiences. We cannot imagine what it must have been like parenting a baby and a toddler and going through the Menopause. She talks so openly and honestly and we are so grateful for that as that is what we are all about. Listeners should note, Dr Khan has now answered our question about why anti-depressants are prescribed for the Perimenopause - thanks Dr Khan. Michelle's book Hot Flush, Motherhood the Menopause and Me and is a must-read for people going through early menopause - either forced or naturally.
Until next week, Happy New Year and

As a Christmas treat from us to you we bring you a very special guest followed by the hilarious Emma Skeates founder of the blog and Facebook page Menopausal Mayhem Mothers. We discuss Christmas + Hormones; 80s Christmas' and what they were like for us; how the Menopausal Mayhem Mothers was born; Emma's boobs (all of them) and our mutual love of gorgeous Amanda Abbington and no episode would be complete without Keys Chat. Louise would just like to let Mumma Mitchell know that whilst it doesn't sound like it I loved my Christmas' and I remember now that my sister played the cello and brother the violin (can you imagine?!) This episode was recorded entirely remotely due to the pandemic so every now and again the WiFi bings and bongs so don't worry your speaker/phone/ ears are fine - no action is required!

In this episode, Louise and Sarah talk to Paula Fry the co-founder of the Facebook page Feeling Flush. We talk about why anti-depressants can be prescribed for Perimenopause (which Dr Khan has now explained for us previously in Episode 2); Paula's journey to HRT - and the itching that eventually led her there; Brain fog and pelvic floors (the word egg is mentioned here!) and maybe most importantly we discuss what we would like to do with Justin Timberlake next week?!

On this week's episode, we hang out in the fabulous Podcast Lounge at Factory Studios, London with amazing actress, and all-round good (and really funny) egg, Amanda Abbington. Amanda has starred in, amongst many other things, Mr Selfridge and Sherlock with Martin Freeman, her partner at the time, and Benedict Cumberbatch (don’t get Sarah started!).
We talk irregularities, trying to be positive and not whinge about the signs of Midlife, raising children with all the hormones that are floating around, and juggling balls - or is it plates? On top of all that our hair game this week is very strong! We had a really good laugh this week so we hope you do too.

Sarah and Louise have a right good chat this week with the gorgeous actress Tamzin Outhwaite about all things hormonal, the theatre, younger men and the 90’s.
We discuss, and highly recommend, watching Tamzin’s fabulous Lockdown project ‘Dun Breedin' by Julie Graham which you can find streaming now on YouTube. Set in Brighton, it explores the experiences of a group of women in midlife, their relationships and how they are dealing with the Perimenopause. The premise is the same for this podcast - mates chatting through their stuff in a gritty and funny way!
We also dive into the issue of children (or in Sarah’s case - the builder) getting in the way of our sex lives, how to manage our moods, being grateful but knowing when to ask for help.
