We're streaking people! Today we recorded a little early before tonight’s game as we look to sweep the Braves and put an exclamation point on this winning streak. We talk about the solid pitching performances over the past 5 games with our starters AND bullpen. Sixto Sanchez gets brought up and our emotions ride high as we discuss him and the JT trade 2 years ago. We talk about the trade deadline coming up on Monday and the upcoming schedule for September. She’s a beauty, that number 9. Today we mourn the loss of Brett Brown, who was fired by the Sixers after 7 years of coaching through the process. We talk about Didi's cartoons and the only game since the last episode, game 1 in the Nationals series. Alex has a hot take on Rhys Hoskins and what his future could look like with the Phillies. Today we start it off on a high note at the 1:30 mark. However, we have an upsetting talk about the Sixers and how we think their offseason is going to go. We also have 5 games with the Phillies to discuss including the double header series they were swept in so buckle up. The Bullpen is still terrible even after the moves we made in a win now situation for the shortened season. BUT! We did get the win tonight in a battle with the Braves to salvage the series and losing streak with a shaky 9th inning and amazing defense by Knappy Boiii!
On tonight's episode, we say FU to the media. Talk a little bit about the 76ers because it was a bad Philly sports day. Unwritten rules of baseball are a thing of the past. And are all sports getting soft? We discuss the Phillies' two games against Boston at Fenway, how much fun it was to watch game 1, and the let down in game 2. Technical difficulties plague us again as we discuss the BUFFALO Blue Jays double header on Thursday and the HUGE weekend series against the Braves in Atlanta. Finally, we give a quick beer review to two legends of the baseball beer world. Enjoy, and PLAAAYYYY BAAAALLLLL!
Today, we record in person for the first time! We talk about the last game in the Orioles series and the CLEAN SWEEP on those stupid Mets. Some great starting pitching performances and the bullpen changing their tune! We review Alec Bohm and Spencer Howard. While also ranting about a HOT take on the JT Realmuto situation. And we finish off with our thoughts on the NL East standings and how the Phillies have played through the first quarter of the season.
Breaking news of Alec Bohm's call up while we record today's episode. It pays to wait we always say! We discuss the emotional roller coaster of the first two games of the Orioles series including Eflin's second start. And what a strong start out of him we got. The bullpen still needs a reform despite game 2's decent outing. Hitting is not the issue as we dive deeper in to talk more about the runners left on base. Kingery and Hoskins need to go back to fundamentals. And we make some bold predictions based on Alec Bohm news and the last four games of this home stand. Enjoy!
Lots to go over with the Phillies highs and woes on tonight's episode. Alex had another kid! 5 games in 4 days. We fall in love with Karen Boone and hot garbage. Vinny V. needs to go (to the bullpen that can't get any worse). SIGN J.T.! Spencer Howard is here to stay. The Phandemic Krew is straight fire! And a couple big series coming up to finish out the home stand strong.
