There seems to be an ongoing controversy about why the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (otherwise known as the Mormon Church) has no official stance on plastic surgery but has expressed disdain for tattooing one's body. In this episode, we address our personal opinions on plastic surgery, why plastic surgery is so common in Utah (a Mormon-populated state), and how tattoos fit into the picture. Sam talks about the constant pressure of looking a certain way to “compete” (or at least, compare) with other members in her peer group, thus perpetuating the idea of needing plastic surgery.
