In this episode of Is That Like a Thing, we’re talking about Toxic Positivity. Wondering what that even is? Basically, it’s simply that our words matter - even when our intentions are good. Sometimes the right thing at the wrong time, well, it’s just the wrong thing. We have definitely been on BOTH sides of this - telling friends to “just choose joy” when they are obviously hurting. But what if we stopped going to our “go-to’s”, as Crystal describes, and started being more thoughtful about what we say, and WHEN to say it?
