“Eat, drink, and be merry”.  Most people probably don’t say it quite so obviously, but their overarching rule of life is to think about what they want – today.  Everything in this world is designed to keep your attention fixed on the NOW.  And especially, don’t worry about what may come after this life. Today, Pastor Mark shows that this present world culture isn’t really anything new.  And he illustrates it with an incident that happened to an overconfident king named Belshazzar*.  What’s your focus?  Yes, take care of what you need to in this present world.  But always keep your vision locked steadfastly upon God.
