I am excited to begin a new series today- "Prodigal" in our continued study of Luke. For the next few weeks, we'll be exploring the very heart of God and the gospel from the wonderful trilogy of parables Jesus gives us in Luke 15. So glad you're here!

Growing up, my parents gave me allowance money each week. There was nothing I did to earn it, it's just something they entrusted to me. Each week, they would tell me to tithe, teach me to save, spend and invest wisely. I remember them telling me to give God and think of others before I spent on myself. Little did I know it but they were instilling in me principles of godly stewardship, a theme that we will be studying today in Luke 16 as we continue our series "Inside Out." We are all entrusted with God's resources. We are called to be shrewd and faithful as we steward what is His. Are you willing to take the next step toward greater satisfaction in God & more faithful financial stewardship?

It's been a wonderful summer in shared community and faith together. I pray you are encouraged and reminded each week of our wonderful God. I hope you are finding rest and renewal in Him this summer. It's great to worship together again today. We'll be studying Luke 14 this morning. When we realize God's faithfulness & commitment to us, we will be moved to be faithful & committed to Him as well.... until the very end.

We continue today in our study of the gospel of Luke and current series "Inside Out." We'll be studying Luke 13 today, celebrating the reality of our hope in Jesus and the imperative of trusting Him for life and salvation. We'll focus on the questions and struggles we often face from others and within ourselves as we hold to these central truths in our society. As we grow in knowledge, trust and love for Jesus as the open (and only) way to relationship with God, our lives will show it.

Have you ever anticipated something? Have you ever expected something so much that it changed the way you lived? Have you ever been so excited about something that you couldn't stop thinking about it, where your joy of the future actually transformed your present reality? Jesus calls us to live daily with this kind of anticipation and expectation of His return and our reunion with Him. And this anticipation transforms our living. As we treasure Him daily, we will be faithful to Him daily. Jesus invites us to set our heart on His coming and live faithfully as we wait.

We'll be continuing in our series "Inside Out" this morning, focusing our attention to Luke 12:12-34. What do you treasure? Where does your heart find satisfaction? What is the basis of your trust? The real answers to these questions about your INSIDE heart affection can be clearly seen in the OUTWARD actions of your life. Today, we'll see how our handling of possessions reveals the true object of our trust & joy. Jesus says, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." May God continue to change us from the inside out for His glory & our joy.

Today, we'll be beginning a new series together in our continued study of Luke - "Inside Out." The passage we'll be studying this morning is Luke 11:37-54. If you haven't already, I encourage you to read it & ask God to show you His ways.

Go, go, go, go, go… work yourself to the ground... productivity is what defines you. This is the world in which we live. But is this the way we are to follow Jesus? We will be exploring this question today as we continue our series "Commit," studying today Luke 10:38-42. Pray that God would allow you to hear and obey His Word today.

It's a wonderful privilege to have Wade & Barbara Akins with us this morning. They are two of my greatest heroes & mentors in life, ministry, and missions. Want to know what it's like to truly COMMIT to the Lord? Look to them. They are living testimonies and faithful teachers of the gospel as they travel around the world training pastors to plant churches. We are so happy to be able to support them as a church and hear God's Word from Wade today. I pray God will move us all to greater commitment as we worship together today.

We are excited to continue today in our series "Commit" in continued study of the Gospel of Luke. What would your life look like if your heart was totally surrendered to the Lord as He desires? Today we'll be focusing our attention on one of the most well-known passages in all of the Bible, the parable of the Good Samaritan. Believers and non-believers alike know this short story. We name organizations and heroes after its central character. The story is shared to signify the type of general "do good" morality worthy of our admiration. However, do we really understand the truth that Jesus is communicating? Being the "Good Samaritan" is less about attempts at morality and more about the condition of our hearts. In the end, only Jesus can bring what He reveals we so desperately need.
