Today, we begin a new series entitled "Commit." This morning, we'll be looking at some select passages from Luke 9 (vv. 23-27, 57-62) asking honestly: Are we truly, totally surrendered to Jesus? Is there any part of my heart and/or life that I have not given to Him? Is there anything I consider more important? We must commit our lives. I pray you experience true worship and freedom today as you surrender your all to Jesus.

Do you ever wonder why sometimes time spent with God through the Bible brings lasting change and satisfaction in your life while sometimes it does not? How is it that in times of public teaching of God's Word some respond while others do not? After all, didn't they hear the same thing? Why is it that people express commitment to follow Jesus on Sunday but then fall away later in the week? Jesus provides insight and answers to these questions today as we study his teaching and God's truth in Luke 8:4-15. I pray God will give us all hearts that are always ready hear and receive His Word.

"He is risen! He is risen!" The Easter proclamation goes out - "Jesus is alive!" - awesome, beautiful & true. But hearing it alone doesn't change us. Rightly responding to what we hear does. How does your heart respond today? The resurrection of Jesus is more than an idea to be contemplated but is a reality to be celebrated. It demands a response from our lives. Respond in faith & worship to Jesus today. He invites you to receive forgiveness, hope & purpose from His death & life. I pray you & your family have a great day of celebration!

As we approach Easter, we ask what it was about Jesus that was so polarizing. In the account of the triumphal entry we see three groups (religious, seekers, & disciples) respond very differently to Jesus as His ministry becomes more public and confrontational. Today ask yourself, who are you like in the story and how are you responding to Christ today?

We are approaching two of the greatest Sundays of the year as we remember and celebrate the death & resurrection of Jesus. We celebrate Him because without His sacrificial death, there is no forgiveness of sins. Without His resurrection, there is no hope of life with God - now or forever. These are not ideas to be contemplated but realities to be celebrated. I hope you will take time these next two weeks to focus on the crucified & risen Jesus. What does His finished work really mean to you? I pray you have placed your hope in Him. Today we'll be studying in Luke 7:36-50 about a woman who hoped in Jesus and a man who didn't. Their responses to Jesus exposed their heart. Ours do too. May God expose our hearts & Christ's hope for us today.

Do you ever experience doubt? Do you ever question what you believe? Is doubt normal? How should you handle doubt if it comes? This morning, we will continue our study of Luke Chapter 7. No matter where we are in our heart and life, Jesus has compassion for us and invites us to trust him and receive grace from him. He has the help and hope we desperately need. He is the help and hope we desperately need. He wants to meet us in times of faith. He wants to meet us in times of brokenness. In this message, we will see how Jesus wants to meet us in times of doubt. Will you pray God will allow you to respond to him in faith? I'm looking forward our study of Luke 7:18-35.

Have you ever been broken? Completely broken? Have ever been hurt or experienced pain? Have you ever lost someone or something you loved? All of us have. And all of us will. It's an inevitable part of living in this world. Where is God in this midst of all of this? Can I trust him? Can He even understand what I'm going through? Do you ever ask these questions? It's OK to seek answers in God; He wants us to know Him. We'll do that in this message as we continue our study of Luke 7, focusing on the wonderful person of Jesus and his relationship with an individual who was completely broken. We can trust him. Will you pray today that God would satisfy your heart with the nearness, compassion, and hope of Jesus?

In this series as we move toward Easter, we'll be looking at the wonderful person of Jesus and his interaction with people just like you and me in Luke 7. Jesus is God, full of compassion, power, and grace. He invites us - wherever we are and whatever we're going through - to trust and respond to him. Will you pray today that God would captivate your heart with the wonder of Jesus? Tell Jesus you are ready to respond to Him with great faith and joy. After all, this is our mission & pursuit - to cherish & follow Him.

What an awesome God we worship! He desires everyone to have the joy of knowing Him in Jesus. He pursues people from every nation, tribe, people and tongue to know & worship Him. He wants to be worshiped among all the nations. There are no people more important to Him or worthy of hearing the gospel than others. Does your heart align with His? Until all people know Jesus, we will sacrificially pray, give, and go to the nations. I pray your love for God will lead you to be freed worldly & committed to His purposes. I pray God allows you to catch His global heart & vision as we study together in Acts 10.
