Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness has nothing to do with winning or losing.  Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness has nothing to do with other people.  For seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness is an aspect of who you are.  Being someone who both seeks forgiveness and offers forgiveness is your identity.  Seeking forgiveness and offering forgiveness isn't simply something that you do.

God isn't in the behavior modification business.  God's in the transformation business. Transforming you into who you've been created and gifted to be. Which is quite the journey!

You can never truly forgive others or seek forgiveness from others, if you're living your entire life trying to always be understood.  So, now it's time to do the next right thing.  Forgive those who have hurt you and make amends for the harm you have done to others.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to listen to others with a servant's heart.  Your goal is to understand others.  As opposed to always wanting to be understood by others.  

Spoiler alert - The better you get at understanding others, by listening with a servant's heart, the better others will get at wanting to understand you.

God didn't need to come as Jesus in order to save us.  We needed God to come as Jesus, in order to learn how to be saved.  Jesus came to dance with us.

You'll start to hone your skills of listening, with a servant's heart.  For everyone wants to be understood, but nobody seems to be listening.  Because everyone is too busy trying to be understood!

Your relationship with God is a long-term relationship.  Whether it started many years ago or it started just yesterday.  So, grasping a better understanding of long-term relationships is vital.  For, I pray, you're in this with God for the long haul!

Don't do what you do out of some sense of guilt, shame, obligation or routine.  Do what you do because you want to.

Transformation is hard.  If it wasn't hard, then everyone would be doing it!  Take a deep breath and claim your fear of the unknown.  Allow God to meet you in it and walk with you out of it.
