In order to mature as a believer, it helps to have someone watch for us; and, of course, we need to watch for one another so that no one becomes isolated and left to "go it alone." We need the security of being nurtured in the faith, plus a healthy understanding of repentance so that authentic Christian living can be possible. God's love, and the love of others invested in and watching for us, helps develop lives that tell a story . . . revealed in words and deeds . . . honest and open . . . inside and out.
