  • "Embracing the And" with Faith Broussard Cade

After being hit from behind by a tractor trailer, Faith Broussard Cade thought she came out of it unscathed. The ambulance looked her over and she was not bleeding. Although a little sore, she didn't imagine anything could be seriously wrong. But there was! In the passing days and weeks, her mobility became more restricted. She was having blurred vision. Her long and short term memory progressively got worse.

Symptoms of Concussion and Traumatic Brain Injury: that was what Faith Broussard Cade was experiencing. When she went to doctor after doctor explaining something was wrong, she was regularly ignored until a neurologist finally listened and diagnosed her. In this episode, Faith will discuss how she was able to take this life-altering event and create hope for not only herself but for others...one sticky note at a time.

  • The Necessity of Men's Work with Has Al-Hasani

There are many times when one situation in your life feels like it is going to break you. But sometimes, we ignore the every day small moments where we neglect ourselves or ignore the internal nagging that something doesn't feel quite right. Sometimes our drive for perfection or being the best at everything is what is chipping away at our mental health until we reach that breaking point.

In this episode, I am speaking with Has Al-Hasani. Has noticed that the things that brought him pride previously were no longer making him happy. He continued to "do well" in life but felt disconnected with the notion that playing ruby, drinking beer and driving the perfect car made him a "successful man". He wanted connection so he looked internally to find it and discovered the power of change though men's works.

I invite you to join our conversation as Has and I discuss:

    • Maladaptive Perfectionism
    • Interdependence
    • Redefining Gender Roles
    • Toxic Masculinity
    • Weakness
    • Control

HELL YEAR!! That is what this episode's guest, Rach Wilson, coined a particularly challenging year in her life. TRIGGER WARNING: In this episode, my guest and I dive into the following topic: Domestic Violence. If you need to pause or stop listening to this episode, please honour that. Thank you.

When society tells you, you should shut up and be the person the world wants you to be, it makes you a great pretender. After 19 years of marriage, when she turned 40, Martha Mok decided she didn't want to pretend anymore. She did not want to be what society thought she was. She wanted to be WHO SHE KNEW she was. She wanted to feel empowered. She wanted to feel strong. She wanted a voice. She wanted confidence.

In 12 months, Martha built her coaching business from zero to six figures and was featured in Yahoo Finance as the top 1% confidence, business coach in Australia. About It Didn't Break Me

From the publisher's feed

What’s something you thought would break you but it didn’t? The It Didn’t Break Me podcast answers this question. Each season of, It didn’t break me, is created with the intention of being a safe space for honest and vulnerable conversations with people, who share their transformational life stories around the messy stuff they didn't think they'd come back from, and yet they are still here, courageously accepting themselves as they are and giving themselves permission to show up as their true self letting their light shine.
